Ashen Ferris [District 6]

Ashen spends much of his time inside, in his family's labs, leading to his pale skin. He keeps his dark, curly hair trimmed short and his small eyes are a dark chocolate brown, usually hidden behind lab goggles. Ashen's head is a bit small, but he's extremely smart. At 5'11" and 145lbs, he is quite average. He also has a small mole on his right cheek.

One of his responsibilities at home is chopping firewood, which Ashen has been doing since he could swing an ax, and has gained muscle because of it, making his muscles one of his only non-geeky traits.

Ashen normally wears simple button-up shirts or plain t-shirts with jeans stained by various chemicals from the labs. When in the labs, he always wears safety goggles and a simple white lab coat.

Ashen is quiet and smart, usually with his head stuck in some new experiment. When he does speak up, it's normally about something to do with science. In the time he spends at school, he tries to make friends, but has a hard time keeping them around due to his quietness.

Ashen spends most of his time in the family's labs in the District, choosing to continue with the family trade of discovering new medicines and uses for pre-existing medicines, so he tends to keep to himself and read.

Ashen has strength, but only uses it when chopping firewood and avoids fights at all costs. He doesn't believe in violence and has an opposition to the Hunger Games.

Never popular with girls, though Ashen has always had an interest in girls. But the girls Ashen knows never want a brainiac nerd, so Ashen's heart has remained alone despite his multiple attempts at finding a girlfriend.

Ashen grew up as an only child in a somewhat wealthy family. His parents, Larten and Evanna, work in the medicinal labs in District 6 and that's where Ashen aspires to be. Never having to work hard for their money, Ashen has been treated to the ability to spend much of his time reading and learning about the family trade.

Ashen has never had many friends, though he wishes at times that he did. But he has been able to fill his time working on various new uses for existing medicines.

Ashen never seems like a "spoiled brat" because of his lack of friends. He's never cared for the expensive things that some of his classmates with parents in the same area have, simply happy with what he has.

As a kid, Ashen didn't mind not having many friends around because it meant more time for his studies and learning from his parents. The older Ashen gets, the more he loves the science he'd devoted himself to, but the more he longs to be around people that he can enjoy being around and talking to. He can't help but feel alone, in an empty lab with only books as company.
