Personality:
Ayesha is medium height (no more than 5'4") and medium build. What sets her apart in her district are her dark features. She has waist-length black hair and wide, nutmeg-brown eyes. Her skin is a roasted cinnamon color. Because of her family's insitance on physical fitness and sound health, her limbs are toned and her belly, backside and thighs are trim. She doesn't obsess over appearance, however- her hair is never styled, her face is never made up, and she does not depilate.
In terms of clothing, Ayesha always wears her school's uniform outside of the house. Her style is modest. Ayesha doesn't really have an eye for fashion, and her attire reflects that. At home she is often seen wearing sweatpants, especially if she's studying for a test. No amount of coaxing from friends and relatives can persuade Ayesha to pay more attention to her sense of style. In fact, even what Ayesha considers to be flaws in her appearance (dark circles around her eyes, a beaky nose, and slightly large, mannish feet) go untouched by make-up or other Capitolian methods of improvement.
The focus of Ayesha's life is her studies. There's nothing more important to her than coming out on top in school, so that she can be a brilliant scientist for Panem. Even if it means working in the Capitol's labs in the 6th District. Part of her success in school can be ascribed not only to her parenting, but also to her own stubbornness. Even when her own father tries to encourage her to go out enjoy life as a teenager, Ayesha clings to her books, and rejects a life beyond them.History:
Her "friends" at school cannot make a dent in Ayesha's schedule of work outs and academic shut-ins. To her, they are merely companions at school. Either competition to be thwarted or support for her own aspirations. It's hard for her to maintain friendships, because of her analytical nature. It's difficult for her not to try and manipulate people who identify as her friends. Also, she is not patient with her peers. Often, she finds herself annoyed with her companions at school. That is why she finds her self mostly alone.
Not that this is a problem for her. The less she is bothered by "those cretins at the school" the more she can delve into her work-outs and study sessions. However, there is one group of people exempt from her annoyance: her family. Ayesha is deeply loyal to her family. Her mother and father, as well as her younger sister, receive all of the devotion that Ayesha retains from the rest of the world.
Ayesha's mother is a Medical doctor. She is a strict disciplinarian and a fiercely protective mother. Ayesha's father is a physicist. He's the epitome of the "absent-minded proffessor." A decade older than Ayesha's mother, and a professor at the University, he is tufty-haired and wears glasses as well as dark circles under his eyes.Codeword: ODAIR
When Ayesha was born to this particularly brainy family, she was a treasured infant. No expense was spared (well, within the budget of their modest, but not impoverished household) to ensure Ayesha had a sparkling childhood. Both of her parents were shocked to see Ayesha reject dolls and play-clothes for bulding blocks, puzzles, and eventually books. One of Ayesha's happiest birthdays was when she recieved a book on botany from her father and a chemistry set from her mother.
When she was 9 years old, Ayesha's younger sister Sita was born. This didn't change the family much- only now her parents attention was not so concentrated and Ayesha felt herself able to breathe. Sita quickly became Ayesha's only companion. As the years passed, however, Sita turned out to be clearly far more social than her older sister. She was also studious, but seemed to be more adept at balancing a social life with her school.
As Ayesha's school life draws to a close, a panic sets in. She has managed to go through the years without making a single friend. No romantic interests. Not even someone she can call during a holiday and say "Hey, let's go spend time together." As the next Hunger Games draw near, she feels a something inside her yearn for the excitement and the danger of the Arena. Without saying anything to her family about her disturbed yearnings, Ayesha impatiently awaits the Reaping, secretely hoping that she will be the female Tribute from District Six.
