Appearance:

Kris is about 130 lbs. and 5 ft. 7 in. Kris slim and only slightly muscular, he can probably lift about 100 lbs. if he pushed himself to his limit. He has slightly messy black hair that falls to the middle of his neck. He has brown eyes, an average, slightly pointed nose, and lips that are almost always chapped because he doesn't drink enough water. Kris has slightly crooked teeth and a scar across his right cheek in a diagonal line.

Overall the effect is attractive, yet not a pretty boy or anything. He has skinny arms and medium hands that aren't very strong. His legs are well built, so running is one of the things he does best. He is white, but a dark shade which ends up making him look slightly mysterious and mischievous. If you see him enough you realize that there is a cut on the back of his right hand at all times that never looks more that 4 or 5 days old.

Personality:

Because of the extreme conditions that his family lives Kris has been forced to grow up much faster than a normal kid his age. While he isn't the strongest person around he is one of the cleverest. If he decides to do something to you, whether you like it or not, it's probably going to happen. Kris can come up with plans to do almost anything fast and efficiently. Because of this he often helps figure out how everything at his factory will work so it can have a fast production rate.

He is friendly person with many friends at school, but doesn't have much time for them since his family is so needy. Because of this not many people know him, although plenty of girls like him because of his decent looks and overall friendliness. Unfortunately for them Kris sees no point in having a relationship he won't be able to contribute to unless they are at school, so he generally ignores girls. While being friendly most of the time, he often has random mood swings in which he is angry, cruel, and arrogant. When he becomes like this most people tend to avoid him.

Kris emanates mysteriousness and mischievousness, people that know him are fine with him but strangers tend to avoid him. Being a mischievous person every so often he actually has some fun and pulls a prank on some won with his friends. Also he is an accomplished pick pocket, which has kept his family from starving more than once. Along with that he carries a knife that he once stole from a Peacekeeper.

Secretly, deep down Kris wants to be chosen for the Hunger Games. While he doesn't like the thought of leaving his family, he believes that he could win with cleverness and put his family in the victor's village were they could be truly happy.

History:

Kris comes from one of the poorest families in District 8. He was born a November 30th. With 2 kids other than Kris to feed his parents, Erik and Kelly, have a hard time keeping food on the table and the house warm. Kris is very caring about his family and started working at a factory that makes jackets at the age of 11. He and his parents work 12 hours a day at the factory while leaving his younger brother, Gage who is 9 to babysit Kris's youngest sibling, Lisa who is 5 at home. His work duties along with school hours leave him about an hour a day to himself, which he usually spends watching over his siblings as they play around the village. Every once in awhile he will go and pull a prank with his friends.

When he was 12, about 9 months ago, he tried to steal a jacket from his workplace to give to Lisa, who at the time seriously ill with hypothermia. A Peacekeeper caught him as he was leaving the factory and he was punished by public whipping. After receiving 50 lashes, he was told he lucky not to have become an Avox.

As his family poor Kris signs up for a tesserae for every member of his family. Being a very protective person Kris often would get mad at others if they insulted or made fun of any of his family. Once when his little brother came home crying because of some bullies Kris's age, Kris went out and beat them senseless. He was reprimanded at school and was escorted everywhere by a Peacekeeper for a month after that for a month to make sure he didn't assault anyone else, but Kris said it was worth it.

All people know that he has a constant cut on the back of his right hand that is never more than 4 or 5 days old. None of them know why it's their though. Kris swore to himself that until he can get his family into a better position in life he would never let the cut on the back of his right hand heal. He uses it as a reminder to work as hard as he can so his parents and siblings can have a better life. every 4 nights or so, he uses a knife that he pick pocketed of Peacekeeper to cut open his wound again.
