Ruby, been told by few people in the District that she is beautiful. He hair is a striking midnight black, with a small streak of dark blue in it. Her eyes are a deep shade of brown, but from afar look like black or grey, depending from HOW FAR you are from her . Her nose is oddly shaped, though it suits her when looking head on at her but made fun of because of it. She weighs around 70.5 KGs, and stands at 1.7m tall. Ruby has a pale completion, which she hates; she wants to become tanned like most other people she knows. No-body really knows her around the Districts, but she knows most people in District Nine kind of stalker-ish, eh? [/color]
Ruby is quit moody, at times she can be extremely ecstatic and the next she can be on the verge of depression. Where she goes only her close friends dare to follow. She believes that if she stores her anger inside her, it will create a fire and destroy you from the inside out. When she hunts, she ‘transfers’ her anger into the traps and snares that she creates with her nimble fingers. She also believes that the more anger she puts into the snare, the quicker the animal dies. It’s because of these crazy beliefs that she has hardly any friends. Her friends are hunters too, but they don’t hunt with Ruby because she uses traps and snares more than she does bows/arrows/guns.

Ruby is quite small compared to the other girls in the District. Her shoulders are small and her legs don’t carry her the distance. That is one of the reasons why she doesn’t chase down prey as often as she should. She has an obsession with makeup, with her little supply she can make herself look gorgeous. The makeup goes around the eyes, making them stand out more than they should. Her hair is usually set out in the same way, a ponytail, but with different variations each of the same style every day. The only people that notice this are her parents, because they’re afraid she’ll draw out extreme amounts of attention at school.

Ruby also has an obsession with knots. Various knots mean various traps. Her room is filled with ropes of different lengths and thicknesses, her longer lengths are used for hunting and the shorter ones to practice. She’s extremely talented in the art of trapping, her parents are the opposite. Her parents have tried and tried to get her to use a bow and arrow, but she’s a horrible shot. She loves animals yet she kills them, hypocritical in that sense she doesn’t use a bow and arrow because she wants to kill the animal in the quickest way possible.
Ruby has a very confusing relationship with her parents, like a normal teenager. One day she can be out having fun with her parents, talking with her mother about boys and so on. But other days she can EXPLODE and yell at her parents, their neighbors think that the walls are paper thin because they can hear the argument inside their house. But most days its calm and cool in the house, it needs to be, otherwise Ruby would tear the house down (because she needs calm to practice her knots). If you were to be Ruby’s friend, don’t get too close.

Ruby doesn’t have much of a history but she does, however have a little bit of a reputation. Ruby, the clever girl that she is, created a snare that could trap an animal and keep it alive. This became useful when the Capitol wanted pets, stupidly enough they wanted wild dogs to have as their own, tame them and prove to the others that they CAN do it on their own. Ruby is quite the hunter, she has once caught 250KG of meat in one run, though this was with one other person. She has been in many-a relationship, none of them have lasted. She has what people blame her for~ Commitment issues. Yes, Ruby Falconer, has commitment issues.
Ruby STILL goes to school. She only goes to school because she’s studying anatomy of animals, just the subject for a hunter. She hadn’t yet fully understood the complete anatomy of certain animals. Also, she had failed that class. Her parents don’t mind, as long as she can hunt. Her parents are her teachers, practical and theory, they’ve taught her almost everything she knows, if it weren’t for them she wouldn’t know most of the things she now knows. People used to sum up Ruby in one word; ingenious
The word ingenious , until the age of fourteen, Ruby thought was an insult. IN-Genius she thought it meant stupid and idiotic. She thought very, very wrong. She works four times a week, guess what her job is! That’s right, you guessed it, hunting. Hunting is her life, it’s more important to her than her parents. Snares. Snares. Snares. It’s all she thinks about, What snares should I use today? What animals are passing this area? Should I take a partner? some of the many questions asked daily… to herself. Had she known that the more people she takes with her, the less money she makes, she’d take no-one.

She hates it completely, though, most days she would sneak out in the woods and every second day, check on her snares that she set the day before. Her job is to import and export materials from District Nine to other Districts or even the Capitol. She finds many things that she uses for hunting during her job, and takes them.
