Thistle Pryderon D9

In a word, cold, everything from Thistle's skin to her eyes looks as if it might have been carved from blocks of ice. She doesn't actively try to remove this impression either. Thistle stands at 5'7'' and thin thought something about her makes her seem even taller. and more spindly, somewhat like a spider. Her skin is flawless and pale that seems to be made that way but is natural.

Her hair is very blond and reaches her shoulders, though at times she will cut and style it in whatever way she pleases. Her eyes are where most onlooker's focus is drawn both because of their Eerily shade of icy blue and because Thistle rings them in eyeliner to draw you to them. Once held by her eyes you find yourself feeling like pray. You'll be lucky to find colour in her lips, that being the only thing that seems to soften her features, which is why they're often not. Instead more frequently they are a thin pale line too close to the colour of a corpse to make anyone comfortable.

Her close keep up the crisp, cold, frightening image she keeps. She'll dress in solid winter colours (gray, blue, white, ext.) or black. Most her clothes are expensive looking dress clothes but even seeing her dressed down for work does nothing to lessen her threatening appearance. In fact it may increase it seeing as the comfortable hunting ensemble labels her even more as a hunter/predator.

Thistle is quiet, but not in in the 'I'm very shy way' more the 'I don't have anything to say to you' way. When She does speak it's in a whisper or breathy voice that might be seductive if it weren't so creepy. Which is an easy way to describe her in general.

No one can accurately say they know what's going on in Thistle's brain (not even me). People wonder if she is the way she is because of how she grew up, but anyone who had witnessed her during those years would now that isn't true. She's almost always been as she is now, people used to think she'd grow out of it. Now they're just glade she isn't so innocent looking anymore so that her attitude isn't quite so terrifying.

In any case there's a good reason children call her witch. You'll find her in crowds, when things are going very bad. An accident, an injury, a crime, she's a staple in the crowds that form during or after these events, and you'll never see her happier. She seems to feed off of other peoples fears and add to the voices that fuel rash action.

She seems to do the most she can to terrify everyone around her, though it may be she's not trying at all. There are so many rumors around her, about how she always seems to appear where there's trouble. How could she be so quick to the scenes of so many crimes and 'accidents' without causing a few herself? Maybe she does, no one hunts with her after all but she must be good enough at it to afford the close she wears despite her seemingly middle class family.

Thistle's mother passed away when she was four moths old, her father died six years later. Not before re-marring to a woman who already had her own child and getting her pregnant as well. The woman took Thistle in because she considered herself her mother by that point. Thistle's new mother remarried again two years after Thistle's father had died giving her a new father. Less then two year later the couple with no actual blood relations to Thistle gave birth to her sister.

From nine Thistle lived with her 'parents who weren't her parents' and the house full of half and step siblings. She never seemed to mind, but it's hard to tell with Thistle. She was always distant even to her blood relatives. Her siblings always saw her from the same perspective as the rest of District nine. No one was going to complain when she decided to live in the large shed in the backyard.

It's always been difficult for Thistle's 'parents' to discipline her. First of all it's very difficult to tell if she's ever actually done something wrong. Also because of the awkwardness brought on by the fact that she behaves more like she's separate from the family, and they can't logically argue that she's not anymore.

When the industries of District nine underwent it's change Thistle regarded it with the same cold detachment that she gave most things. She doesn't seem bothered but now does little to nothing to help her family and that combined with her personality have her walking on thin ice.
