Odessa Blake, District 10

Odessa Blake has Platinum blond hair. Her hair is medium in length. Her hair is wavy and unkempt. She doesn’t place much importance on her appearance, and it shows. She has long bangs, which often obscure much of her face. Odessa has Grey eyes. Her skin is very pale, as she is rarely able to tan.
Much of Odessa’s body is lightly scarred. The scarring is most prominent on her face and hands, and is mostly the result of her time spent deep in the brush. Her scares are distracting and not pretty to look at. People who meet Odessa often find her facial scarring to be distracting and unpleasant. Odessa stands quite tall for her age just over 5 feet 9 inches. Odessa has strength in her upper body.

She never learns from her mistakes. She won’t give up, even when it seems obvious she should stop. She is fierce, and persistent, and won’t go down without a fight. She will prove that she is worthy of being the best, but she will not take it away from someone if they deserve it.

She goes by the saying ‘everyone for them selves’. She is selfish but she is much more generous with her sisters. She is very rude. Odessa is a Kick-him-when-he-is-down type. When Odessa notices that her attitude has hurt someone, she brushes it off her shoulder and moves on. She tries to ovoid the emotion of guilt.

Odessa has very little compassion, she thinks love is unreal, and there are no 'Soul mates' but that is probably because she has never experienced it. Most boys see her more as scary; they never refer to her as beautiful. At first glance she seems pretty but her attitude makes her seem less beautiful than she really is. When she talks to people she is searching for a weakness, when she finds it she will use it no matter how cruel it might be.

Odessa has two sisters. Her older sister is named Constance Blake who is 16 years old; Constance has Red hair and the same gray eyes as Odessa. Odessa's second sister is her twin, Novella Blake. Novella looks exactly the same as Odessa, but Novella's hair is Black. These three girls were raised by their Grand Parents because their Father died (he wandered away from the districts.) and their Mother died giving birth to Odessa and Novella.
Without her parents, Constance decided to teach Odessa and Novella to survive in a poor world. She showed them how to hunt and steal. Odessa has trouble speaking. She was not highly educated, she never went to school. She usually just follows her instinct.

~STORY OF HER LIFE~
Odessa Tyler was born on December 14th. She was born after her twin sister Novella, 3 minutes apart. Her mother thought she was only have one child. Their mother fell in love will Novella the moment she saw her. The nurses had to take her out of her mother’s arms when she began to start labor again. The birth was extremely painful for their mother. After birth, they gave Odessa to her mother she took one look at her baby and screamed "This isn't my baby! Get her away from me!" at that moment her mother passed.

At age 5 she never spoke a word, she was mute. Odessa remembered that moment when her mother said that she wasn’t her child, which made her feel terrible. It was always burnt in her memory, she couldn’t remember it exactly because it was only described to her from others. Odessa’s Mother was mentally insane so behavior like that wasn’t odd.

Odessa hid behind her sister Novella, as if she was the muscle and Novella was the brain. The twin girls always walked in the woods, Odessa would always listen to Novella talk. Constance would talk to her too, from deep dark secrets to trying to get Odessa to talk herself. For conversation Constance would teach Odessa how to talk properly, even though Odessa never practiced.

From the at the age of Seven she started teaching herself to hunt. She started once when a chicken stopped laying eggs on the farm, her Grandfather wanted to cook it. The chicken got away, so Odessa chased it, as did Novella. Novella tried to use bait to bring it back to the farm. Odessa was jumping from tree to tree fast, following the chicken. It started getting close to Novella, Odessa swooped down grabbed it and slit its throat. (She uses this technique a lot for her killing) Novella said to her "That wasn't very nice" then Odessa replied with her first words "we were going to eat it any way!" Since then Novella was always the bait while Odessa would wait in the trees to hunt

At age 11 their family received mail informing them their father died shot by a peacekeeper. Novella and Constance Cried. Constance once met him when she was 1 and a half, but he had been away from home since before the twins were born "I never even knew him!" cried Novella, but Odessa thought we she wasn’t crying herself, she realized because she never knew him, she pitied Novella for that.

At age 12-14 she grew amazingly fast, she looked older than Constance, her still barley speaks. Every time she went to the reaping, she was jealous. She wanted to be chosen, she wanted to live in the woods without being punished for it. If she died she wanted to at least live the way the universe intended.
