Sally Jean, District 10

Sally is a very kind girl, you can see it in her dark brown eyes. They are the only thing on her face that signal her emotion. Her hair is a rich brown, like the dirt. It's usually in small cornrows that fall down past her shoulders. Her face is round and colored very darkly, always smiling and loving.

Her body is thin but with a muscular figure. She doesn't weigh very much, but she's taller than most of the 16 year olds in her District. She loves her body and she believes she's beautiful, no matter what anyone else says about her. She has small hands and long legs so it's hard to find clothing for her in the District.

Sally is a calm girl, that is until someone snubs her or is rude... She'll love you if you aren't mean, but if you insult anyone else, or even her, she will CUT you. She's not the type of person to rest and let others control her life. Her motto is, 'I wasn't put on this earth to sit on the sidelines,'.

She's very involved in her community, she helps out small children and the elderly. But she can't tolerate people her age. She gets annoyed with their immaturity, she's very civil herself. Her other problems with people her age are that they don't help out others, every Hunger Games she starts donation pools for the children that go but none of her classmates send in any money.

She loves the Earth and tries to plant and get people started to take care of it, but in the end people stop caring. She is very into improving the District, but none of the citizens seem to care. Her dream is that either she makes enough money to donate to help the wildlife and plants. But, she's always thought of going into the games and using the Victor money to aid the District.

Sally's family is close-knit, that is mainly why she's so bent on getting revenge on District One. In a Hunger Games a couple of years ago, both tributes from District one ganged up on her older brother Andre, and ever since she's been imagining ways to kill District One's tributes if she ever got into the games. Her mother is a calm and passionate person, always caring for others and performing selfless actions. Sally's father, on the other hand, is driven and almost always angry at someone, he tends to blame the world and rebel against everything. Sally and her brother were close, seeing as Sally had no other siblings, she was especially close to Andre.

Sally's school experience is sub-par, she barely has any friends because she's so busy trying to get back at people who have hurt her. Lots of children look up to her, for her rallys in the Town Square about food and housing arrangements. One day Sally had the bright idea of renting out Andre's bedroom since he isn't using it, so a boy named Kirk is living with the Jeans' for now. Kirk is one of Sally's few friends, she likes him and together the two help people who attempt to escape the District and create food banks for the needy.

Sally has many volunteer jobs, she works at the shelter for cattle and other animals who have been abandoned or injured. She helps at the elderly home, where she reads to all of the residents and tries to make them feel better. She's a maid in the Victor's village, and she likes most of the Victors. She sings at the Town Center, hoping to bring smiles to people's stressed faces. She babysits for the over-worked mothers and single fathers who are caring enough to ask. Sally takes all of the donations and earnings and uses them to either help the District or donate to the current tributes.
