Appearance:
Our intrepid hero (notice how I love that word) wears boot cut jeans that are slightly too big for him and their color is a light-ish jean blue. He wears a belt with a skull and two pirate swords as a buckle. He wears a brown Henley shirt that is unbuttoned and a white undershirt. He rolls up the sleeves to his elbows since it's so hot out usually. His main wear is casual and somewhat big for him but it's comfortable and that's the best for him as he sees it. He likes to wear a necklace made of black rope with a key at the end, a very small one, to give it to a girl that he falls in love with to show that she has the key now (what a sweet kid!).Personality:
He has dark brown hair that runs to his shoulders. It is straight and flows in the high winds, showing off his charisma yet he doesn't use it often. His eyes are deep brown and look like puppy dog eyes. He has a scar on his lip just to the left of the middle showing he has fought before. He also has many scars on his back and one running diagonal from his shoulder to his waist on the front from a whipping that a Peacekeeper carried out.
His body isn't very muscular, an average muscle size for a guy his age, but very tall. He has agile legs and is flexible. So he doesn't have a buff body but he makes up for it by being able to climb buildings quickly with his gripping hands. He has pretty big hands since he does like to climb the buildings and just lay on the rooftops and of course there is getting down. His legs are powerful and long, at the ready to kick box! To help with that are his trust old boots. (Wabahm foo!)
Charismatic, charming, egotistical, funny, and stupid are none of his characteristics. Although the occasional smart mouthed comment, our hero can only go against his nature when having to lead. His charisma isn't shot usually, but he isn't all to crazy about meeting people or going into crowds. He prefers the rooftops where it's isolated and people can't see him. He likes to be alone and read old history books or treasure hunting fiction. He dreams of having an adventure like that, one where you could go in and take the treasure Indiana Jones style or swing from a vine and grab the friend under attack and get out of there. That's why he climbs, he has that adventure spirit in him.History:
Not only does he like to read books, but he also likes to write them. Every day on the rooftops, he'll write adventures that he has had in his mind. While jumping from building to building (Which are pretty close) he'll imagine himself doing something. He is a dreamer as you can see. He likes to have fun and think of the impossible. His mind doesn't like the bland and boring, he was the colorful forests. He wants the life that has no dull moment. With an adventurous and creative soul, he loves to also lounge around on hot days with nothing to do and just either sleep or sit right at the edge of the building and watch the people walk around. While he gets to have fun up there, they can just walk down there.
But see, he's not without the mans weakness. He has is fair share of want for women. He learned from his father before he died of a heart virus on how to pick up girls. Since his mother died giving birth to him, his father had been looking for a woman and he learned the techniques, but execution is somewhat poor with him since he is also shy around women. He doesn't have the "Hey baby" of your typical jock. He's more of the "Hey, uhm... I'm going to just go wallow in my corner now since you are too beautiful and you will reject me...!" sort of attitude. But he tries, he doesn't just give up like most, he will butt heads with his fear until he stabs it to death with the metaphorical knife of justice! Although he isn't very confident on his skills with women, he does like to joke about how he can soooooo pick up any girl he wants.
One last thing about the boy here, he has a one liner thing going for him. Every time he steals something from the Peacekeepers he will spit out some one liner when something like an explosive will go KABOOM near him. It's his nature and doesn't really want to stop it because he does kind of like it. He does get lucky a lot, but he likes to shrug it off and just be thankful he got out of there without being blown to bits entirely like almost any other person could or would. He's also modest and won't talk about his squabbles with the Peacekeepers since he doesn't have any friends. He has discipline even if his father died, he doesn't want to have that one thing his father told him to have die. He cherishes kindness and discipline rather than anything else. He is also the kind of person who would lay down their weapon to save a captured friend, even if he doesn't have one he would do it out of his nature...
A pretty typical life, well except for the jumping on buildings part but, his mother had died only minutes after she gave birth to him. She died holding him and he was far too young to even remember how she looked like. His father had a picture of her right before they found out she was pregnant with him. He had a good idea of how she looked like, but Brian would never truly get to meet his mother, no matter what people say about her being a great woman. He loved her anyway, for giving him life and giving up her own. He doesn't get sad when he thinks about his mother, why would he? He isn't usually phased by sadness, he has kept his happy ways and can shrug off much. He has lived with his father for all of his life. Soon they would become best friends by the time he was fourteen, telling dirty jokes and drinking alcohol that was smuggled in and bought from the black market. But he never really drank it, he just let it sit there as he drank water instead. He has seen his father drunk before and he's a happy drunk. He would laugh at his father as he wobbled around and just share even dirtier jokes with each other.Codeword: odair
Brian got into adventure at around ten. He loved hearing stories from his father about hero's back in the day. How they fought and what they did. He had told Brian just as his father had told him at night with bed stories. Brian fell in love with the stories. He wanted that life so much, the fighting, the rewards. He he wanted the sense of adventure the most. Only when he reached fifteen did he start climbing buildings or doing parkour as the term was. He became very athletic and flexible from the activity, soon being able to hop from one building to another without stopping. Although his didn't buff him up, he did get bigger hands which allowed him to grip better and not fail like he would when he first started. When he had first started parkour, he was constantly falling and hurting his back because of his smaller hands and inexperience. Since nobody was there to help him, he would have to learn on his own and eventually he would after a year. In one years time, he learned the ins and outs of the town and where to go. He eventually learned how to be unnoticed from the ground, so he wouldn't be attacked by Peacekeepers. He loved it, it was his recreational activity and it was just awesome (for lack of a better term).
Pops (as he called him) died when Brian was sixteen. In the middle of spring, Pops was struck with a terrible illness. It was a heart virus that had no cure so far and the treatments couldn't do anything for him. Brian hadn't shed a tear at the funeral. Pops had always said that he would go out being shot, not dying of a heart virus. He was the only family he had, so Brian had to live with a horrible Guardian. He had to learn how to cook, and his father had taught him already how to cook a lot of things. His Guardian is horrible and doesn't cook. She makes him do the chores and everything. He usually sees her and some guy all over each other on the couch. He has loved his father and spent much of his time with him, now that he was gone Brian had nobody to really hang out with. Nobody really knew him at school since he spent so much time just daydreaming. He eventually had to only think of all the good times he and his father had shared. The worst part about it was that Brian had alcohol from his father's black market seller. His father hadn't been an alcoholic, it was just a pass time. He didn't like it too much, but he tried one bottle of beer. He was supposed to be drunk by then since his body wasn't too well suited for him, but apparently he could hold his liquor. He doesn't touch the stash at all, but lets it sit in the refrigerator and maybe will use it for a dinner one day with a girl. Little does he know that you can't drink at this age (how lucky can you get?)
You want to know about the scars don't you? You really want to know don't you? Come on, you want to know don't you, well I'll tell you! Some of the scars come from falling off low vantage points on the buildings. Others come from scraping against walls while running away from Peacekeepers. But the one that runs diagonal on his chest is from the whipping that he received. The PoPo (as he calls the Peacekeepers) caught him once, and dragged him by the scruff of the neck into the town square and showed everybody what would happen should they ever mess with them ever again. They beat him, cut his lips right to the left of the middle, which was one of the most painful moments in his life since most of the nerves are there. They took by the wrists, and help him up Jesus on a cross style and whipped him in the same spot as hard as they could until he bled. They made sure that it would become a scar that he would never forget. They also cut him up a bit on the back just for the fun of it and eventually let him go with no bandages. He was too delirious to tell but he heard a young girls voice and she patched him up. She then dragged him home and put him in bed. When he came to, she was gone. To this day, he still tries to find the one girl who helped him so long ago. He is almost eighteen now, this was when he was sixteen and right after his father's death. He wants to find this girl and thank her for what she did.
