Olivia Cyprus District 11

Olivia has a rather gentle type face, a calm appearance. Her light skin and dark hair give a almost black and white picture feel. She has a few scars from the fields and just being a kid. Being the poorest district most of the people who inhabit District 11 are scrawny and starved looking. A few have hidden muscle from years in the field. Olivia's legs are strong and her arms hold some power as well. She doesn't look like much at all.
Her eyes and hair stand out the most. Green eyes that of a lush healthy forest, with hair that is strawberry brown. Olivia had her mother cut her hair when she was younger and now asks her neighbor to keep it trimmed just around her neck. Her size is a bit small even though she is average height. Her younger sister Grace is 12 and almost the same size as her. Olive's legs seem to make up most of her body. Long and great for running and climbing. Her greatest traits. She can run at a pretty good speed but only for a short distance. Climbing is her best.

Olivia has always been a little shy and that makes her quiet. Usually she doesn't talk a lot if at all. She sticks to herself with little friends. Olive may be shy but she is bold. She takes after her father and takes chances. She is some what of a good girl and always does what she is told but if she thinks it is wrong she might take a stand. When it comes to courage she has to collect it almost charge it to do certain things.
It may take her a little thinking to under stand certain things and she can be somewhat slow. Her knowledge on plants is remarkable. She could tell you just about any type of plant that she recognizes. Olivia is pretty good using her hands. Now being the oldest of 4 other kids she can seem some what motherly. She always tried to help the younger children. She has a love for animals to, Her favorite being the wolf.
She always tries to help out with things and help others as well. She has a very strong sense of right from wrong. When someone in a higher power does something wrong she has to mind her tongue as she knows punishment would happen if she spoke aloud. She is always on edge, always looking around as if some monster would sneak up on her. She absolutely hates the capitol and the Hunger Games. She refuses to watch, and if she has to she will close her eyes and place her mind somewhere far away. High in the tallest tree perhaps.

Olivia grew up with a normal district 11 life. She of course lived with her mother and father, her older brother John then four younger siblings, Grace, Sam, Flynn, and the baby, Beau. She attended full time school until the age of 12. She then had to work in the fields part time and school part time. 12 is also the age for the reaping. Nothing special happened that year in the Games, so another year passed hungrily by. Her 13th year was her second year in the reaping's and also her older brothers last. The were all corralled into the areas designated for their age groups and the girls were to be called first.
Lydia May was the chosen tribute. Olivia knew her she was in a few of her classes but nothing more. No volunteers, so they moved to the boys. John Cyprus was called. No volunteers. He died on the third day, a fatal stab in the back. To this day Olivia despises the Capitol and the Games. Most of the district 11 folks have long since forgotten about it and Olivia usually wont mention it unless asked about it.
2 years later a terrible disease struck parts of the district and Olivia's mother fell ill. She died within a few weeks. She is now attending school and working in the fields climbing the trees for the tall fruit that others cant reach. She helps her father, who works most of the day, by taking care of the younger siblings. Grace will often help to as she is 12 now and works in the fields. she has some skill about using a knife or dagger but it is very little.
