Saber Jones {District 11}

Face Claim: Garret Hedlund

Saber is 5ft 4 and is rather scrawny but is not weak. He has freckles over his nose and rather large ears. His hair is light brown/blonde and his eyes are as blue as the sea. His left eye has a twitch which he finds irritating. His hair is quite long but often stands up at odd angles.

He has two teeth that look like fangs on either side. He has a high forehead and a baby face. He has long legs and arms. His eyes shine but show no emotions. He has a very comical smile which he doesn't really like having.

Saber is a rebel and shows it too. He does not fear peace-makers or the Capitol, but doesn't go as far as getting Avoxed. He is often cold and heartless to those people he does not know or those that harm others. He finds it hard to trust people and will make sure you know it when he can't trust you. He is stubborn and easily annoyed. He sometimes uses fowl language and most of the time against the capitol.


He is aggressive and a true warrior. Very little gets to him not even death. However hard he may seem on the outside he is kind and gentle on the inside and only very few people see this side of him. He is a guy of little words and more actions. He does however show a protective spirit not only for his family but for his friends. Even Fighting to the death for them.


He sometimes block people out without realising it. He sort of lives in a bubble, a world of his own. Though if you can get through to that softer side things seem brighter. He tries to think positive but most of the time can't. He is also extremely judgemental and will make that know. He is not one to socialize and you find him doing it often.
If you had to sum him up in a sentence I would say this; Hard on the outside ,soft on the inside but like a coconut hard to crack.

His mother gave birth to him at the young age of 18, his father of course had done a runner and disappeared. His mother was then Reaped for the Hunger Games. She tried to convince the capitol to pick someone else because she had a child but since she had already pulled out 2 times she had to go. She was of course killed and Saber went to a couple not far from where his mother lived. That is where he earned his name, he was known for biting when he was young if he got annoyed. The couple found him hard to cope with but still continued. His adoptive Father works out on the farms all day so they never really got close.


The family started struggling a little later on in years and that is when Saber got in with the wrong crowd. He started selling and trading good illegally, or Black Marketing. He did this since he was 10 and has not yet been caught. At the age of 11 he changed rapidly becoming less of the happy,bubbly boy he was into a more fierce and angry one. His adoptive parents could not understand the change but continued to love him.


At the age of 13 his adoptive Mother got ill and he got even deeper into the Black Marketing to help her. His father is still not close to Saber and is a bit annoyed since the boy refuses to go to work with him. His adoptive Mother recovered when Saber was 15 and that is when she realized he was a crime in waiting, when he muttered the words “Overthrow the Capitol and avenge my Mother.” and ever since that has been his goal. Less of the overthrowing the Capitol but more of avenging his Mother. He has made a firm decision that if he gets Reaped for the Hunger games he will accept and fight hard.
