Skylar Peterson : District 12

Skylar is a hunter. She has long, brown hair that goes to the middle of her back, hanging in either a ponytail or loose. It's pretty thick, and is straight at the top, but flips at the tips. Her eyes are a crisp, ocean blue with ashy blue specks. She doesn't have thick lashes, they are pretty thin, but dark. Her lips are an average size.

Her skin is a average tan, while she has an average build. Her legs are long and lean, good for running. She's about five feet and six inches tall.

Skylar usually wears a black v-neck t-shirt with a brown hunting jacket. She wears tan pants with hunting boots. She has a dagger that she hides under her pant leg, just in case someone attacks herself, or her family.

Skylar is very much of a tomboy. She doesn't put up with anyone that makes fun of her, her friends, or her family. Skylar will not hesitate to punch someone in the nose if they irritate or snap at her. In other words, she's defensive.

Skylar's stubborn. If she has an idea, she will stick to it. She won't put up with anything that she doesn't agree to. She doesn't put up with anything that the Capitol says.

She can be too overconfident when it comes to hunting. She thinks that her snares and survival skills will help her when she needs it the most, but can be wrong when she's nervous or scared.

Skylar can be friendly and humorous if you meet her in a good mood. She loves to joke around and have fun if she's in a good mood or if she woke up on the right side of the bed.

Skylar Lilac Peterson was born on January 14th in the Seam of District 12 to Maria Peterson and Lukas Peterson. She is the oldest of three. Her younger siblings consist of her 12 year old sister Rosie Peterson, and her 8 year old brother Nik Peterson. She loved her family and intended to keep it that way.

But, sadness struck when her father, Lukas, died in the mines, being one of the forty that was unfortunately too late to run out. Skylar was heartbroken. Her mother and siblings were heartbroken. Especially her mother. Maria didn't speak for days, refusing to eat. So much, that she died of depression and hunger a few days later. The crack in Skylar's heart got even deeper and wider, filling with pain and misery.

She had to take charge and make sure her and her siblings were fed and still alive. For the next six years, Skylar went into the woods and hunted, earning money and getting meat for her small family. Many of the boys admired her and wanted her, falling in love with her. Skylar saw it, but ignored it. She didn't have time for love and games. In fact, where they were, Skylar didn't want a family, in fear of being starved to death.

Now, Skylar lives peacefully. She is having a great life. She has managed to keep her grades up and keep herself and her siblings alive and full.

And she intends to keep it that way
