In the book, the tributes were completely unaware of what the arena was to look like until they arrived into the arena. I know this doesn't allow much time to think about strategies but I think, in order for the games to be more realistic, the arena map should be hidden until the Bloodbath.

I agree! I mean sure the users make their charries say they don't have a strategy, but they already have a gameplan in their mind. I don't think this is very fair....Also because the quell is th next games, it could be a great place to start hiding the maps!

Nah, that would give an unfair advantage to the staff that designs it, and we're trying to avoid that. Strategy is allowed, because you yourself are strategizing and not your tribute, so it's fair. We've never had a problem with it in the past.

I really don't think you can make strategies just by looking at the map. You can definitely use it to your advantage when the Games have started and you know where other tributes currently are and where they might go, but you can't learn a lot from the map that will seriously help you later on, other than maybe saving some time. Plus, people have fun talking about it. But I dunno, that's just how I see it. xD
