Theresa Wylde (District 11)

Theresa stands only 5'3 and has shoulder length chocolate brown hair with natural golden highlights. She has rich brown eyes.

Theresa is about as skinny as a twig and has a pale complexion, although her skin is splattered with freckles. She is strong for a girl of her size, and is a quick runner.

Theresa appears determined and self confident, but she's really a mess. She struggles every night with the fact that her 'baby' sister is 12 now and eligible for the hunger games, along with the fear of what would happen to her brother, sister, and mother without her, the hard worker.

Because of these clashing emotions, Theresa comes across as a real bitch who doesn't trust, nor is she trusted. Defiant and independent, she doesn't really to listen to anyone, sometimes, even herself.

But deep inside is a girl who simply loves her family and doesn't want anything to happen to them. She tries to support the family and manages to keep them together after her father dies of fever a year ago.

Theresa is the oldest of three children-a 12 year old sister and a 5 year old brother. She spends much of the time worrying about what would happen if either her sister or herself were to be chosen in the reaping, and the thought sends chills down her spine.

Her father used to work in the fields (as she and her sister do now) but was killed the previous winter from the flu. Now Theresa has to take care of her brother, sister, and dying mother.

Theresa's mother is slowly dying, and Theresa is trying to avoid the facts-that eventually someone will come and take her siblings and herself away from their mother. To prevent this Theresa works extra hard and is the head of the household.
