In the heart of Panem's first district lives a family by the name of Lightwood. To the eye of an outsider, they seem to have it all, a lavish house, a fortune, more children than they know what to do with, but a closer inspection will reveal a twisted history of dysfunction, abuse, deception, and even murder. But also love. Above all else, there is love.

This is their story.


NINETEEN | PLAYED BY SOUTH

The first of the triplets and therefore the eldest Lightwood sibling, Riley has taken on the role of both parent and brother to the rest of the family in the aftermath of the deaths of both their father and stepfather and their mother's resulting depression. He takes care of every aspect of life in the Lightwood home from cooking dinner to making sure the bills are paid to tucking in the little ones at night. However, Riley doesn't have it all under control as much as people think. He's haunted by his past and drowning in the stress of caring for six other people, resulting in him having a severe self-mutilation problem in the form of cutting that occurs almost every day. Following Avon's death and his graduation from high school, Riley has since decided to pursue a career in medicine and is in the process of becoming a physician.

The second triplet. Avon is a no-nonsense type of girl and is averse to putting up with anyone's crap. She's intense, driven, and extremely cunning, not one to be trifled with in any situation. She was one of the three siblings who engineered the murder of Xavier, their abusive stepfather, and she shares this secret with only the other two operatives of the crime, Riley and Keela. Avon is basically Riley's second-in-command when it comes to keeping the family going, helping him out with discipline since the younger kids are definitely more intimidated by her than they are by him.


NINETEEN | PLAYED BY ROSETTA

The last-born of the triplets, Antoinette is a hot mess wrapped up in a pretty little package. Although she appears to be the definition of innocent and sweet, she's got a whole heap of problems. Daddy issues brought on by losing her father at a young age, a lack of self-worth and ferocious jealousy, and a long, nasty history of drug abuse. Even though she's self-absorbed and more damaged than she cares to let on, Antoinette is still very intelligent and charismatic, and she has various ways of getting what she wants. She's a mistress of manipulation, and often uses these powers for evil rather than good, even going so far as to toy with her own family.


EIGHTEEN | PLAYED BY NOFO

Edana was born very prematurely, resulting in a bad case of asthma and a defect that caused her to have her leg amputated shortly after birth. Of all the abuse endured by the Lightwood siblings under Xavier's reign of terror, Edana got the worst of it, but never saw it that way as a result of developing Stockholm Syndrome in an effort to cope with the abuse. After a brief tryst with fallen tribute York Mentz left her pregnant, she gave birth two fraternal twins, a boy and a girl named Cillian and Siohan. Her family is helping her raise the babies, and Edana's just struggling to hold it together.


SIXTEEN | PLAYED BY NOFO

Although her selective mutism leaves her very quiet outside the realm of her own home, Keela's as vocal as they come when things come down to her family and what she thinks of their situation. Tied into the family's inner workings in almost every way, Keela finds herself tied up in the personal issues of her siblings far too often, ending up in every sort of situation from sneaking maternity clothes to Edana to forcing Riley to acknowledge his self-harm issue. She was one of the three siblings who planned Xavier's death, and was the brains behind the entire operation. Extremely intelligent and a musical virtuoso to boot, Keela has all the makings to be the family's pride and joy. If she would just open her mouth in public.


THIRTEEN | PLAYED BY NOFO

Aris is probably the sibling who has been affected most by the memory of Xavier's abuse, the years of torture giving way to a severe case of Dissociative Identity Disorder that leaves him with several split personalities and long periods of blackouts where he can't remember where he was or what he was doing. But when he's himself (which is disturbingly less and less often as of late), Aris is actually a pretty good kid, smart and resilient and very invested in his family.


EIGHT | PLAYED BY MATT

The only Lightwood half-sibling, Chyba knows even at his young age that his older brothers and sisters feel disconnected to him. What he doesn't know, however, is that his father put the entire family through years of abuse, and he can never understand why sometimes people are mad at him for no reason, or look at him like he's one of the bugs he loves so much. And oh, does he love bugs. The consummate insect aficionado, Cyba knows volumes upon volumes of bug trivia that he can recite when prompted, and often compares everything in life using bug analogies.


The triplets (Riley, Avon, Antoinette) are born to Willow Riley and Casper Lightwood.

Willow and Casper marry. Nine months after the birth of the triplets, Edana is born with a severe birth defect that leads to the amputation of her leg.

Two years after the birth of Edana, Keela is born.

__________

Three years after the birth of Keela, Aris is born.

__________

When Aris is two months old, Casper dies in an "accident" at work involving tracker jackers. Willow slips into depression. Nannies are hired to care for the children, but they don't do a very good job.

Two years later, Willow marries Xavier Lightwood, Casper's older brother. Xavier inflicts abuse (both physical and mental) on his brother's children.

Two years after the marriage of Xavier and Willow, Chyba is born.

__________

Four years after Chyba's birth, it comes to light that Casper didn't die in an accident, and that Xavier had murdered him in order to marry Willow. Riley, Keela, and Avon murder Xavier and set it up to look like an accident exactly like the one that killed their father.

Willow slips into depression again, completely withdrawn from the world. Riley takes over as the family's primary caretaker at age fourteen.

Two years after Xavier's death, Willow remarries again.

__________

Flawless - Three years after Xavier's death, Edana meets York Mentz in school.

__________

Obsessions - Edana and York are assigned as partners for a school project. Their relationship deepens.

{ sounds.of.the.heart - Edana meets Graham Haven.

__________

Beautiful - York tells Edana that he plans to volunteer for the Games, and the two of them... ahem. Yeah.

:{words.can't.explain - Edana meets Clayton Sinclair before being attacked by a hired thug sent by York's father on a mission to kill her and her unborn child. She survives the attack but is hospitalized.

<U'll> BE the {rhyTHM} and I'll be the BEAT - upon her release from the hospital, Edana flees into the wild. She is captured by Peacekeepers and spends some time in the detention center.

Let the Rain - Keela finds out about Riley's cutting and calls him out on his shortcomings as the family's patriarch.

Invisible Ink - Edana returns from the wilderness and takes momentary refuge at Fenn Klardie's house.

~When the \Day/ Met the /Night\~ - Riley meets Bridgit Bonham and takes her out on a date. Their relationship begins.

Riley and Bridgit's relationship continues to deepen. They begin to date officially and are very much in love.

Edana gives birth to twins Cillian and Siobhan.

The H ol e s in My Apologies - Fenn tells Riley that she's pregnant. His entire world collapses with the knowledge that he's screwed everything up so badly that it's impossible to lie about it.
