I wandered through the woods with a bow drawn and one arrow in my other hand. I was out hunting on my own personal time, the settlement was quite and everything was peaceful so why not enjoy myself for some time? I shot my arrow and it hit a dear, a nice kill to be honest. I headed over to collect it and bring it back when I heard some noise...

I hid in a bush, sure enough I saw a bandit. I knew he was heading towards the village... I would not have it. I quickly drew my arrow and fired it, it flew across the small gap and it hit him in the head. I went over to the body after it crumbled and checked it, he had a gun on him. A pistol to be exact, deciding it would be best to take it to the General for military use I stowed it in my bag, I went over to the deer, sat down, and began skinning it while slightly on alert for anyone that would tread this way.

Faith made sure everyone in the camp was set before deciding to find and join Alexander. She caught up in time to see the first arrow shoot into the deer. She had her own arrow ready and was aiming at the guy when she saw Alex take him out. After he pulled the weapon off of the corpse and started cleaning the dear, she finally walked up. "Sir, the camp is secure." She did a small salute and took out her own knife to help him.

Her hands were moving to clean the creature he had slain but her mind moved in other directions. She still needed to get that pregnancy test today once she got back in District Nine. She felt the change in her pocket that Damon had given her shortly before she left and suddenly felt her stomach clench in agony from the assault it was getting from her body, the smell of blood, and the look of it on her hands. She could practically feel herself getting green.

I looked up at her gave a nod then went back to skinning as she began to help me, then I noticed she wasn't looking to good. I heard she was waiting for a pregnancy test and if this was happening, it was hard to doubt she wasn't pregnant. I looked up to her and spoke "You don't have to call me sir. call me Alex if you like. Also you can just sit there if you aren't feeling good."

I looked down at the carcase again before remembering what I intended to give her. I wiped off my hands on the sack, remembering that I would have to wash it later then pulled the pistol out of it. I held it in a position where I could hand it over to her saying,"Take it I can tell you will put it to better use then I can."

Damon heard the voices and strolled over, his big boots rustling through the undergrowth as he did so, he moved and ran a hand through his dark hair as he approached the source of the voices, looking around at his surroundings as he did so. It was peaceful out there right then, the way he really liked it to be honest.

He groaned when he smelt that familiar smell, all too familiar. That was the one downside to hunting, all the mess and the nasty smells. He hated all that crap. It was just disgusting. But he was a strong guy, he could pretty much deal with it to be honest.

He could see Alexander nearby, soon spotting his Faith. She looked ill again. He knew this would happen. He knew the second she got pregnant or something, it would make her beyond the normality of illness for that. He just knew it. He never got good luck and was now much more of a glass half empty guy. Even though he gave his all to his work and believed what would be would be.

"Sir, Faith" he said as he approached them, moving and adjusting his jacket as he did so.

Faith took the gun from him without hesitation. The weight of the weapon in her hand calmed her almost immediately. She slipped it into her holster as she sat down and started working on the deer once more. She forced her body back into a functionable state before she looked at Alex. "Have there been anymore sighting of strangers roaming around the woods?" She asked quietly, though the strength of her voice was still there as always. It very rarely failed her.

"I must admit, I'm a bit worried that the location of the campsite is so close to where we found a threat. These people know how to take care of themselves, true. But it's still more than we need to deal with right now." She couldn't help but speak of her concern for her charges, as it were. She heard foootsteps nearby and had a hand on the pistol she'd just received when she saw Damon round the corner. Seeing him, color immediately flooded her surprisingly pale face. She nodded gave him a slight hug. "Wanna lend a hand?"

"Hello Lieutenant Daemon, come sit with us." I said to Daemon, one of my more experienced charges before looking to Faith who seemed to immediately feel better. "I have been looking around for metals, I plan on having a defense perimeter built around the town and make it safer this might garner some District attention if it becomes to high profile though." It was indeed my plan, to begin construction on defensive walls to make our town safer from roaming bandits. It would ease everyone's pains and the only downside is the time it takes to build and collect the necessities.

"I have been thinking about this, I know the hunger games are coming up, and considering you both are able to be chosen I am offering you both a chance to prepare." Indeed I knew about the hunger games and that there are giant risks, therefore I am offering them a chance to train them in hand to hand, blunt weapons, light weapons, bows, etc. I look at the two and wait for a response.

She heard what Alex said and couldn't help but agree. "A perimeter would be very beneficial to the town. We could stick some of the chained on it and have them start building. We could throw in a handful or two of recruits as well." She thought about it. Hopefully if they could get it built in time and without trouble, the could survive any raids that might be brought against them.

She heard what he said about the Games. It had been bugging her that there's a possibility of her going in pregnant. The training would be extremely beneficial to her. She looked at him and nodded. "That would be amazing, Alex. Thank you. I'm sure we need all the training we can get." She often spoke for both her and Damon, it wasn't uncommon, but she looked to him for his opinion, hoping it would be the same as hers. They didn't get into anything unless it was together. Their defining feature as a couple. They were extremely close.
