Perhaps the only natural difference between the two of them was the color of their eyes ― Helle was born with a green, sage-like color and Zelda's just a simple, dark brown likewise to her hair ― and Helle gaining one and a half inches during that awkward period they call puberty. I like to think that it never existed..// zeldavine cauchemar
Forget Friday the 13th
Here's the child of October 31st
With all eyes on you
And every step you take
A little spell will break

DISTRICT/AREA -- [District SevenDistrict Thirteen ]
.// appearanceZeldavine was exactly alike with her twin sister Hellemine from birth. All until Helle discovered the wonders that bleach does to hair and that colored plants did stain the skin, and thus had lighter hair and skin with much more color. Only Zelda remained true to what se was born with: ahri as dark as the barks of trees that surround the Districts and skin as pale as the stark, white walls that surround her.
There was admittedly nothing striking about her physical form. In Zelda words, no one was ever considered pretty unless you had that charm and grace that infested every single cell of your body. Zelda wasn't pretty, at least not in her own standards. Not when it's veiled by a curtain of mischief and just plain unattractiveness. Her face was like an inverted pear-cut diamond ― she had a rounded forehead, high cheekbones that sloped down to a slightly sharper chin. Her eyebrows had't got that visible arch that was quite present in most girls', and instead it was almost a flat line going upwards. Topped off with hooded, slightly downwards pair of clear, brow eyes that never betrayed her, and she constantly looks like she's scowling. She has a pert nose that turned up to the sky at its rounded tip, to which she fondly emphasizes by lifting her chin up higher and maybe, just maybe, she could be as tall as Helle, no matter how tiny and insignificant those few centimeters seem. Her lips were thin and chapped at some places, and had a little bit more color, with her ressing it together during random times in the day. It was a habit that she had grown into. Despite how sharp her features are, it was always curtained away from the rest with her dark, mahogany-like hair that was past her chest. It wasn't soft and smooth, and had split ends and had strands constantly out of place, since brushing it rarely crossed her mind. Her pale white skin was almost similar to the blank walls of Thirteen, and never tanned since all she does once she has the chance of going outside was to pick more herbs and plants for her witchery work.
Her frame was thin and bony, and sure, she would eat when food was there, but she refused to sleep for most of the nights, insisting on working more on her skill. In result, dark circles would appear underneath her eyes, but not that prominent that the officials here would suspect of Zelda indulging in those pills and drugs. I hate those little things. They were manufactured by the factories of the Capitol, and I hate the Capitol. They are the opposing force, and they should be destroyed. Well, maybe not bythe Capitol and instead by some District, but for her it was basically the same thing.
.// personality
Her observant eyes were constantly judging everyone around her, trying to analyze every single movement that they do. Her gaze constantly backed people off, and she wasn't disheartened by it by the singlest bit. She loved intimidating people, because it gave her a strange sense of power. In comparison to letting others inside and fully knowing her and her intentions, it was better letting them know that she was untouchable, and no one should mess with her. But she has no utilitarian mentality, either. She may not tell you anything about her (and prefers not to tell you anything at all)
Zelda usually stuck close with her sister Helle ― they never go without each other anywhere, everywhere. But who else would you go to when nobody else wanted to be with you because they were scared of you? When the Cauchemars had first arrived in District Thirteen, they were immediately frightened by the runaway family, especially by her cackling aunt who was now confined approximately sixty feet below the ground. And Zelda was never trusting to anyone, except her sister, and shielded herself with a cold demeanor. Maybe it was because she was plainly a naive child, but she always thought that maybe somebody who would try and break her shell, but all they did was avoid her. Maybe it was Zelda's fault that she was secretly hopeful, but it only made her act even more of what people think of her.
Zelda was honestly not the most considerate or thoughtful person there was. In fact, she may seem a total opposite. She will meddle around in your affairs, with no care on the consequences you will receive. Mischief was her middle name, and anyone who knows her knows that. But the officials who send her around to deliver the packages never really got the memo, only much to Zelda's delight. Setting you package on 'fire' was only showing little of what she can do. Or at least that's what she tells everyone with that smug smile. But no matter how crafty her fingers could get, the occasional burns would appear time and time again with failed experiments. She was sadly a beginner, and it only drove her to do more, more more.
But to Helle, Zelda was a completely different person. Maybe what they always say about twins was true, about how you're basically one person together. The scowl, the frown, and the judgemental look with shed into nothing, and all Zelda will be whenever she's with Helle is just herself. Helle knows her and understands her better than anyone, and perhaps even better than their parents. Just one look, and she would know what's going on. There were no secrets ever hidden between the two of them, and
.// history
The Cauchemar twins were born on the last day of the month of October. They say it's an unlucky day ― when ghouls come out to play. Alonse and Miriam, along with Gretchen who was Miriam's sister, had escaped District Seven unto the welcoming (or maybe not so welcoming, but they take anyone anyway)
Until her aunt was isolated from the citizens by the authority was when Zelda and Helle started experimenting on their own. When they got assigned their own room to spare was when they started getting more into it and spent almost every free time they had to devote their time into witchcraft. Zelda got fascinated by little fires and sparks, and so did Helle. During class times, they would prank on their classmates when the teacher wasn't looking, and send their pens on fire. It was nothing personal, really, all for their own entertainment. At least, it all was, until Helle began to change. She got a lot more silent, and Zelda was worried on what the effects of witchcraft may have done to her sister. But she never asked, and never figured it out. She may feel a little twinge of jealousy on the possibility that Helle knew something about witchcraft that she didn't, but that would vanish into thin air once she would hear her sister's ear-busting scream in the middle of the night.
