Alright, a few changes in training for 59.5. First off, no exemptions. Training stations are now reduced to two stations per person, but some stations have been taken away due to the fact that hunger, thirst, and medical items are all done away with. PM your station choices to Aya. And training scores will now be based on a short quiz with one sentence response answers, which should be PMed to Aya.
Training stations offered:
Blades – knives, swords, etc (+1 to damage score for all hits greater than or equal to 6pts for bladed combat, that is, knives and swords)
Target practice – ranged weapons (+1 to damage score for all hits greater than or equal to 6pts for any shot or thrown weapons)
Self-defense – deflecting attacks (-1 from damage score for all hits greater than or equal to 6pts)
Stealth - Allows tributes to sneak in to attack on their intro posts in fights. (This does not include the Bloodbath.)
Improvisational weapons – teaches tribute to make weapons out of hard wood that can be used for 2/3 damage in the arena (ie: a 6pt attack from a makeshift wooden spear would be redeemable for 4pts damage) All makeshift weapons are per staff acceptance. Without this station, hard wood can be used as a ½ damage club weapon (ie: 6pts damage = 3pts damage)
Endurance – Allows tributes to move two areas rather than one, but only once every three days.
Training Quiz -Type a response as to what you would do in each scenario and PM them to Aya. Answer in ONE SENTENCE ONLY. Answers in more than one sentence will result in a loss of points.
1. You find a plant that you're fairly certain is poisonous, though you're not positive.
2. You're walking along and accidentally drop your weapon. At the same time, you hear movement very close behind you.
3. Another tribute approaches you and asks for help because he is wounded. You don't see any visible signs of damage, though he seems to be drastically limping. He has supplies that you need.
4. The following items are in front of you at the cornucopia, but you can only grab one. Which do you choose and why? Duct tape, rope, a towel, a jar, a pair of pliers, a vegetable strainer.
5. Your injured best friend, your slightly obnoxious district mate, and you are the only three left and you all seem to realize how the Games have to end at the same time.
BONUS. Velociraptors can open doors. How does this knowledge benefit you as a tribute?
