Without warning, the ceiling above you bursts into sound and colour. The sound of the Panem’s anthem fills the vast room, alerting you to look up and see the seal of the Capitol appear. The Anthem continues to play until completion of every nauseating note. You could swear they’re trying to mock you- and in truth, they probably are.
The song finally fades finishes, and the seal is replaced by the faces of the dead tributes:
Sam, District Three
Specialk, District Four
Gxk, District Four
Darren, District Five
Max, District Five
Quick addition reveals that five tributes have already died, leaving nineteen in the Arena to compete for victory. If you wish to survive, you still have to ensure the deaths of eighteen others.
The seal fades. You’ve all been left to your own devices once more.
