You get money every time you post (Unless the bored says you don't) and it can be used to buy tessera to get an extra chance to be entered in the reaping for the Hunger Games. Other then that, I don't really think it has that much of a use.

Does it have any value outside of the Hunger Games?

I've been navigating around the Capitol and my home District 10 and seen threads such as "Market" though I didn't find anything to interact with. Anyone suppose that there might be development on an 'inventory-like' status that will be introduced as well to standard living?

Westley, those are people interacting with each other and the thread is called market, and it has nothing to do with the money you get for posting. I believe you get money for posting in any forum except the District Square, am I correct?
