Appearance:

Mark has a curly blob of dark brown hair. His eyes are an extremely light shade of Gray. They bring about a mysterious air no matter where he is, or what mood he is in. His eyebrows point downward as if he is angry all the time. His nose is long and straight. His facial bone structure is unique. His lips are inviting, tempting even. Especially when he is smiling.

Mark isn't a muscular person. He has muscles, but they aren't anything special. His large height allows him to tower over most people. After all, he is 6'4! He has a lighter completion that most of the people in his life. He doesn't understand why. He is always outside, running, exploring, anything really.

Mark always has to wear long sleeves, despite the weather. Even if he has a jacket on, he still wears long sleeves. He has to hide his scars. The ones that cover his wrists. The ones that wear necessary to relieve stress. He wears blue jeans, except for win he is going somewhere important, then he wears slacks. He likes to wear yellow hiking boots, and when he goes out, he replaces them with his father's boots.

Personality:

Mark used to be a depressed person. He had no friends and didn't want any. Nobody liked him. He was bitter toward the world. He hated the world, and everything in it.

Now he is better. He has managed to get a few friends now, because he now WANTS to be around people. People like him again.They are glad to finally have the old Mark back, even though he is now bruised and beaten. They enjoy being around him because he always makes them fell so good about themselves.Mark puts others ahead of himself. He lets people step all over him, and talk to him like he is nothing. He takes it all to heart and believes what he is hearing.

He doesn't think he is worth much, so that is why he loves everybody around him so much. They took the time to know him. To him, that is the best gift you can give a person.

History:

Mark Jacob Gordon was born August 4, during the 43rd hunger games. He is an only child. His parents divorced when he was seven. To be honest, he was happy. All they did was fight anyways. There was one time, where Mark had to sleep outside on the porch because they were up all night screaming.

Mark stayed in the house after the divorce with his mom. His father seemed to have dropped off the face of the earth. It was about two years later that his mom died from a massive stroke. Then, his dad suddenly appeared again. Out of nowhere Mark was sent to live with him.

His father had changed. He became a morphing. A person whom drugs have ruined. A person who has let drugs take over their lives. There was nothing Mark could do about it either. He tried to talk to his father. The reply was always painful. Either a hurtful comment about his wishing Mark was never being born, or even a slap across the face.

When Mark's dad Over dosed three years ago it was the tipping point. He was shipped to a group home. Everybody he ever loved was dead. He couldn't do it anymore! Death was the easy way out. So he didn't cut to die, he did it to punish himself. To make himself feel like maybe, he wasn't in their debt anymore. As it grew more common for him to cut, he wasn't just doing it to pay the non-existent debts, he was doing it to relieve stress. To make all the pain go away.
Mark is a deep person. He likes writing poetry and reading it. He likes reading anything, really. He sings when nobody is around. It isn't that he is bad, because he's actually very good. He just knows there is no room for singing in the world today. Running is a stress reliever for Mark. When he gets upset, he goes for a run. It might seem silly but it is better in contrast to his old stress reliever.

Over time he has gotten better. He replaced cutting with running. Not only did it give him time to think, it keeps him from hurting himself. He has actually gotten happy or at least somewhat.
Mark is passionate in everything he does. Especially loving a girl. He treats whoever he is close to with every ounce of love he has. He doesn't care what people think of him. If you are close to Mark, you get the love you deserve.
