Appearance:
A lot of people say, that if there was ever a businessman who happened to be a Peasekeeper, James would be that man. He has a very proper or posh appearance. Maybe even a little arrogant at times. He's always had good posture, as that's how his mother has raised him. Good and proper. He's usually clad in a dressy outfit of some sort, rather than just wearing his uniform. Though, he isn't too fond or blazers so he tends to shy away from wearing them if at all possible.
He's not tan, but he isn't exactly so pale he's luminescent either. He's somewhere between. He has quite a few wrinkles on his face for only twenty-five but he tries to just ignore that. It's not grotesque or anything, it just makes him look a bit older than he is. His hair is very thick, and he has an abundance of it. Which he always gels into a style of his liking, that's somewhere between side-swept, and slicked back. Though out of all of his features, he's most self-conscious about his rather large feet. Though in truth they are proportionate since he's about six-foot-four.

James' hair is a nice shade of brown, and his eyes are a beautiful golden color that goes perfectly with his hair. His body build isn't necessarily lanky, but it isn't extremely muscular either. Though he's always been rather athletic, it doesn't really show on him. He has a pretty nice body structure over all, which helped him get into the Peacekeeper Academy. His body can be considered as tonedhe has amazing absbut he's not buff either.
On his right wrist he wears a band his twin, Jeremy, gave him. It was a birthday present, and a very expensive one at that. It's just a dark brown, real leather bracelet with his initials in metal on the inside of his wrist. It can show them on the outside too, but he likes to keep them hidden. There's a flap on the bracelet that's tied down and stays flat against his wrist. It's a picture of him and his twin together at the academy. The picture was in there when he got it, and he kept it there after his twin's death.
Personality:
Though sometimes arrogant in appearance, James is actually very far from it. Probably even the polar opposite. He's very shy. Especially when he first meets someone. Though the more time he spends around a person, the more he comes out of his shell. He's not really considered depressed, but he is easily saddened by the things he sees and experiences in the world he lives in. It definitely shows in who he is and how he acts that things like poverty, especially when others flaunt the fact that they have more then enough, annoy him to no end. James is a Peacekeeper, yes. But he is far from loving the Capitol and their ostentatious belongings.
That's merely one of the many things about the Capitolites that irks him to no end. Things such as Peacekeepers abusing the Citizens of all the Districts, simply because they can. It's sickening to him. He's watched children die of starvation and get beaten by the people he's supposed to call companions. So instead of siding with them and beating the living crap out of every school girl with an illegal slab of meat, James does what he can to secretly help them.
The kind of "help" he offers those in need can't be considered much, as he can't really do much without getting caught. He'll occasionally sneak supplies and food from other Districts, and sometimes even the Capitol, and bring them to the starving children and families in whatever District he happens to be stationed in at the time. However, despite him helping as many people out as he can, he is very rarely ever seen socializing.

Because of the trauma of losing his twin last year, James has been even more distant than usually lately, but hopes he'll get over it soon. His mother, father, and younger sister all live back in District Two, so he's been alone for a while. It's been known to get under his skin every now and again that he doesn't really have anyone that loves him any where near him most of the time. And even then, he and his family have been distant for a while. Only really talking to one another when necessary. He knows they love him... But he wants more than that. He wants to, maybe one day, fall in love. Though being as self-degrading as he is, he doubts that will ever happen.
Because of his want for romance, all his emotions, and his rather interesting habit of word play, James has gotten into writing songs and poetry during his free times. Though only the birds ever listen, he loves to write them and read them aloud. To him, his writings are works of art. Each one holds a different piece of his soul. And, sadly, they will most likely never see the light of day. He has an amazing memory so most of his poems stay in his head unless he's randomly prompted to jot them down on a piece of paper.
As aforementioned, James has a rather excellent memory. His family had money, so he's very well educated too. He tends to use proper words rather than opt to adopt the slang of whatever District he's been rolled into. He has a good vocabulary, but often plays around with his word choices. It's what he's known for. He can say something completely nonsensical and hyperbolized and still make it sound coherent. He loves twisting words to make them fit the meaning he needs in that specific moment. Or even just to be very, or possible even overly, descriptive. He developed a habit over time of calling women 'darling' or 'love'. It's rather a shame he's so shy and rarely talks out of turn. Some people would be impressed. Though he begs to differ that's actually true.
History:
[/blockquote][/blockquote]James Duvonte (pronounced dew-vohnt) was born in the richer part of District Two, to Henry and Celeste Duvonte. He was born almost fifteen minutes before his twin Jeremy. And they were both born five years before their sister Alliliana. Their parents were very strict, but overall, not abusive in anyway. That was until Celeste caught her husband cheating on her. Henry left home to go be with his knew girl friend when Jeremy and James were about eleven years old.
After the divorce was when their mother started drinking. And that's when the abuse started. Their mother was constantly on about something or another. She would never touch Alliliana, or Lily, neither Jeremy nor James would allow it. Even if she was their mother. So they ended up taking all the beatings for, both themselves and, their sister. It was difficult for them, because in truth, the did so little wrong, same with Lily. It was things like not sitting up straight enough, or not styling their hair in a gentlemanly fashion, or in Lily's case a Lady-like fashion, that would get them shirtless with a well aimed whips from the leather belt she kept of Henry's.
While it was enough to instill fear in the boys and give them complexes about both their appearance and actions, they continues to endure it. Not just for Lily's sake, but for their mother's. They could have easily left and taken Lily with them, but that would have left her all alone. And as much as they resented the way she treated them, they couldn't bring themselves to do that to her. Both boys and Lily were in a good school in District Two, paid for by their father's money. He had promised to continue to pay for their education as they were his kids. He just didn't want to have to see them. With doubt and fear

A few years later, Henry came back, after his girlfriend dumped him for someone a bit richer, and Celeste took him back almost immediately. And luckily, when Henry came back the beatings stopped, but their dad promptly kicked both the twins into District Two's Academy for Peacekeepers. While they were gone, Lily practically turned into a high-status hooker, Henry ended up in the hospital with heart failure. He's been told he doesn't have long to live, though he's still alive to this day despite what the doctors said, and Celeste didn't change one bit.
After Jeremy and James graduated the Academy at Twenty, they were immediately shipped out. First to the easy life of District One, then Two. They spent about a year in each, and then another year in Three. They went to Four next, which was when all hell broke loose. Upon arriving in Four, no one was pleased. When Jeremy and James got off the train they were welcomed with icy glares and painful whispers. Approximately a month later, while James and Jeremy were stationed on opposite sides of the District, Jeremy was attacked by a mob. They stabbed and beat him with almost anything they could find.
James was the one who found him, and stayed with Jeremy during his last moments. He refuses to tell anyone what was said by either twin. The funeral just about killed him inside and he was given a short grieving leave. Upon returning back to work, he was immediately shipped to District Seven, where he is now.
