Jessica Blossom, District 9

Jessica has chocolate hair cut jaggedly down to an inch above the bottom of her neck. She wears it in two short ponytails with a strand if hair hanging in her eyes on the right side of her face. That, or she just wears it down but when she wears it up she uses two dark red pieces of ribbon. She's skinny but not so skinny that you can see her ribs or anything. Her face's features are soft and feminine. Her eyes are dark gray flecked with light purple. She's wearing square black glasses and she has freckles all over her face. She always wears the same pair of black hiking boots. She also wears a silver necklace chain around her neck that used to have a Mockingjay on it bit when her father died they had to sell the Mockingjay piece.

She's shy and quiet. She has an imaginative mind. She's really smart. She gets picked on a lot by other people but doesn't have the guts to stand up for herself. She likes to write and draws beautifully. She also loves to sing and play piano. When she does talk she talks quickly and quietly. She hates the Capitol for a few reasons. One is because of the Hunger Games. She thinks they're cruel and inhuman. Another is because they're so neglectful of the districts, they let tons starve and they've let districts get super polluted. And a third reason is the Peacekeepers. She thinks they enjoy hurting people and that the rules they have are unfair and unreasonable. But she knows expressing it would be deadly so she writes about it in a white journal that she hides in a locked drawer. She's pretty depressed because of where she lives and her history. She has many flaws though. Sometimes she's too nice and lets people get in her life that betray her. Also she sometimes thinks she knows everything. Also she sometimes underestimates opponents.

She was born in district nine. She was a cute baby with a bright smile. When she was two her mother tried to have another baby. The baby died in birth. Her mom was depressed for a long time and Jessica's father had to take care of the family for a long time until her mother stopped grieving as much. When she was 7 she got her first book. Her father bought it for her along with a wool sweatshirt. She loved the book and saves up a lot of her money for books. When she was eight her mother tried to have another baby and she did. That was how she got her younger sibling, Francis. He's a boy that looks a lot like her only with blue eyes. When she turned ten her family was VERY poor and barely had any food. Then they found out her mother was pregnant. She had another baby, this time a girl, but she died two days later because she was born prematurely. When she was eleven her father died. Her mother got a job making toys at a factory. It was hard work but it got OK pay. Now she's twelve. She goes to public school as she always has and her little brother goes to school as well. She sometimes does odd jobs like delivers messages or makes drawings for people but other than that she has no job.
