"Stormy" Jack Pavel/ District 10

Jack is massive. He always has been. He stands above everyone else in the district and is as strong as an ox. His bulging muscles attest to this fact. He has a tan on the full upper part of his body, telling everyone he knows how to work and that he does work. He has short brown hair that looks silver in the sunlight. He has eyes that are no particular color. They are more of a muddy mixture of many colors. His cheeks are low giving him a slightly rounded face. He also has a wide nose, giving him a slightly smashed look to his face, which he has found to be useful when getting into a fight, as his nose does not break easily. His deep set eyes also help when working out in the fields for long periods of time.
Jack has huge legs, developed by running down cows. He can out sprint everyone in district 10. He doesn't, however, have enough stamina to keep this kind of pace for more than a few minutes. His huge arms enable him to throw many things, but his favorite thing to throw is an ax he bought from a merchant. The ugly scars on Jack's back attest to the fact that he knows what pain is and he knows how to deal with it. He knows speed, but not quickness. He takes a long time to change direction.

They don't call him "Stormy" for no reason. Jack hates new people, and is very hard to please. He has a weakness for one girl, though, Rose. She doesn't know of this weakness because he keeps it well hidden. He has protected her ever since he knew of her existence and knows he loves her. This is, in his mind, his only weakness. He will follow Rose around all day making sure she doesn't know that he is watching her.
His short temper and great stubbornness has made him into a feared young man. No one wishes to be around him and everyone gets out of his way for fear of his crushing fists. He does have the respect of his elders, however, because of his intense work ethic and his ability to get things done. He hates anyone who doesn't do his job and won't take crap from anyone. He's very down to earth and calculating.
He can be charming, but most people know his true nature after all the years he has been working. He can also be brutal. He once broke a man's arm because he found the man beating a little boy. He almost killed the man, but someone stepped in. Because of this everyone knows he really does have a heart. He carries his brutality into business. He can negotiate a price he wants on pretty much anything. He also loves meat and can eat 4 pounds a day all on his own.

Jack was born to a relatively well off family. They had a house, a farm, and enough food. That all changed one night when the house caught on fire. Everyone but Jack died. Jack's whole back was burned. Someone found him and took care of his blackened back. When he finally came to he learned that his family was dead. He immediately set about trying to bury his family, despite the the protests of Laurence, his uncle, the one who cared for him.
Once he buried his family he set about making a name for himself, with the help of Laurence, who showed him the ropes. He started raising the animals that were bought by his father before he died. He devised a good strategy for breeding the animals and soon surpassed even the reproduction rate of the district's industrial farms. Over the years he has, with the help of Laurence, rebuilt the house that was burned down and has created a good trade with the Peacemakers, most of whom he hates. But some of the trade as diminished with the death of his uncle this past year.
Jack now manages his herd when he is not working for the district. He has slowly begun to buy more land with the help of some of the Peacemakers and the Mayor, who he paid off. Over the years Jack has developed a hate of the Capitol. He blames them for his life and hardships he has endured. He never says anything to anyone else. He has learned that the best mouth is a silent mouth. He keeps his hate and malice to himself.
