Adam Rapids (D4)

Adam stands at 5'10 and weighs around 239 pounds. Because he lives in District 4 He has a tremendously thick, toned and muscular body, similar to that of a serious body builder from carrying and building wooden boats with his father and from his training to become a warrior and fisherman. He has short raven black hair and russet colored skin that looks lighter in the sunlight. He has serious brown eyes, those of a trained warrior and hunter and wears a large shark tooth on a piece of rope around his neck; a reminder of when he caught his first shark.

He also wears a a bracelet made of thick rope in a macrame style around his left wrist and even one on his right ankle. Adam usually doesn't wear a shirt, exposing a tattoo on his shoulder of two fish in the yin and yang symbol and his toned, ripped chest. Adam however, wears loose denim shorts that are fringed worn at the bottoms and is most of the time, barefoot. He appears to have Native American heritage in him because of his features and light accent. He also carries around a long spear which he uses for fighting and fishing.

Adam is pretty serious most of the time, focusing on building boats, fishing, or practicing his fighting moves. He can be rebellious and violent. You can sometimes catch him goofing off around the docks and the beaches when he's not supposed to.

His personality changes frequently depending on the situation and some may call him bipolar for his sudden mood swings. He drives his mother crazy because he loves the outdoors and loves to meditate to the sounds of the waves. He's a typical teenager, always on the prowl for pretty girls to show off to. But unlike many boys his age, he respects the female gender and would never, ever dream of harming one unless they harmed him first.

He also loves kids and often hangs out with them, teaching them things like fighting moves, fishing and rope tying. Adam also enjoys bonfires on the beach where he can relax under the stars and tell ghost stories to scare his little sister, Maya.

Adam was born and raised in a house of a fishing family by the beach since he could walk and has loved it ever since. Being on the beach near the sea is the perfect life for him. When he was around 6 years old his father had taught him some rope tying skills and at 8 years old he started to help his father build the boats.

But everything changed when Adam turned 10. His mother was pregnant with yet another child. Adam didn't like the idea of a baby stealing his spotlight but when his mother went into labor it was he who had helped give birth to his little sister Maya in his parents' bedroom. After that his sister was the spotlight but he didn't mind because he loved her like a big brother should. When Adam turned 14 he started building boats and fishing on his own. In fact at age 16 he caught his first whopper. A large sand shark. When his mother was about to throw the bones out his father stopped her, grabbed the skeleton of the large shark, and yanked out one of its teeth. He then drilled small holes into the sides and strung a thin piece of rope on it then gave it to Adam as a reminder for his first big catch. Adam was proud to wear the tooth and soon his father taught him to hunt with a spear.

He started getting into rope tying more and even learned how to make several different knots, nets, and even jewelery. His mother was skilled in the art of macrame and taught Adam how it was done. His life now is dedicated to making money for his family by building boats and fishing with his father and by himself and also working on his fighting moves as much as possible so one day he will be good enough to win the Hunger Games.
