Age: Fourteen.
Gender: Female
District/Area: District 11
Appearance:
Liebe is a tall and lanky girl, measuring in at 5'10'' and weighing just barely 130 pounds. She has a tendancy to skip meals, as is evident in her sunken cheeks and fragile bones. Her limbs are long, but she uses them to her advantage. She runs across the fields in leaps and bounds, smirking at the distance she could easily cover in only a few strides. She would clambor up the crop trees with ease, and stretch for the fruit left at the very top, usually too far out of reach for her peers.Personality:
Lie's hair is long and blonde, reaching halfway down her back. She has a nervous habit of twisting the ends between her fingers. The constant outdoor exposure kept her skin an even bronze color almost year round, not that she had any complaints. She had a light dusting of freckles across her cheeks and chapped lips that rarely upturned to form a smile. It wasn't that Lie was an unpleasant girl- She was merely highly critical. In her idle time, she could be seen with her eyebrows furrowed and her lips pursed, critiquing the work of her peers or simply deep in thought.
The first personality trait that stands out about Lie is that she's determined. She's stubborn, and once she sets her mind on obtaining something, it will be done. Because of this mentality, some look upon Lie as a rude and unfeeling girl, when honestly she is the exact opposite. Her family is on the very top of her list of priorities, and many of the things she does are to benefit her family.History:
Lie isn't very talkative, and prefers to do her work in silence. This does not mean that she is unsociable, however. Lie will eagerly listen to the rants of another if it is required, mostly due to the great curiosity that she had nurtured from a young age. This great curiosity had managed to land Lie in a good deal of trouble throughout the years, but it didn't exactly bother her.
When it came to the reaping, Liebe held some sort of unexplainable fascination. Year after year she had watched the gruesome events of the games, yet she couldn't help but harbor some feelings of jealousy for the past three years as her name remained uncalled. The thrill of being a tribute in the games must be intoxicating. Although she knew how horrid the conditions must be, she couldn't help but feel a small bit hopeful each year as the reaping came around. She thrived on excitement.
Lie is the first born child to Lux and Arctos Chanson. The couple had spent some time debating amongst themselves if bringing a child into their twisted society would be fair, completely torn between desire and morality. Nevertheless, when Lux found herself to be pregnant, the couple embraced that parenthood was going to forever change their lives. They loved their daughter dearly, and only three years later welcomed a young boy, Caelum, into their family.Codeword: odair
Lie adored her parents, and the way they had brought her up. Whereas most young children did not understand the reality of the games at the beginning, her parents had always been brutally honest and straightforward about it. Liebe knew from the very beginning that the reaping was more than what she thought it was, and the games were not make-believe. Her peers were in the dark, but Liebe knew the truth. Perhaps this constant truth had sparked her twisted fascination with the games... But either way, she loved them. They had satisfied her curiosity before it could even begin.
As much as Liebe loved her little brother, she had to admit that they were almost complete opposites. Caelum was short and still had much of his baby fat, resulting in a plump and round countenance. On the few instances in which he had followed her to the fields, he turned out to be nothing but a burden, and Lie often ended up sending him home in tears. She didn't mean to shout at him, honestly... But the harsh personality differences between the two was just too frustrating for Lie to handle. No matter how much she couldn't stand him, she also didn't want anything to happen to him. He had just become eligible for the reaping, and her anxiety over this was sky-high. Despite her own twisted obsession, the thought of Caelum trapped in the horrid conditions of an arena made her sick to her stomach. Even though his constant whining and pleading irritated Liebe, she would go to the ends of her world to protect her innocent little brother. She was supposed to be the one to bear the burden, and she wouldn't let him feel pain.
