Ceryn "Wildfire" Taychet - D12

Ceryn has medium short, dark brown hair and rusky, arched eyebrows. His eyes are a weird mix of all colours, but looks to most like they are brown with a hint of grey. His nose is softly curved upwards, and he has broad cheekbones. He is not known as the one who smiles the most, but when he does he grins widely. Not many would believe a face like his to belong a seventeen-year-old boy, and that has given Ceryn both benefits and disadvantages.

Ceryn is about 5.8 feet tall, and thin - as you would expect of a district 12 resident - but thinner than you would expect of a blacksmiths son. Luckily, and as a result of his work in his fathers’ workshop, he is stronger than it looks. Ceryns hands and arms are scarred and burned after many hours spent working near the fire. He also has a long scar from the left side of his chest and down to his right hip, which he got when he helped his father with forging and a large metal spike fell out and down on him.

Ceryns personality is reflecting his nickname; “Wildfire”. He is full of energy and spontaneity – a bit wild at times. With a real doctor judgement, he’d ¬¬¬-probably get diagnosed with ADHD. His overflowing energy has sometimes gotten him in trouble. At school he have problems with sitting still, and he may loose his temper at stuff that seem not to trigger anybody else. But if you ignore his energy and temper, he will seem like a nice, polite and hardworking boy with an eye for the pretty girls.

The thing that only a few people know about Ceryn, is that he actually struggles with being the one he most often show in public. He often have problems with facing “the fire” his dad believes to be inside him. Ceryns temper gives him a constant battle in his every-day life. He must often pause whatever situation he is in, to try and block out everything around him and regain control. This is something he is getting better at, but sometimes he simply cannot control the anger, and can in extreme cases become violent.

Although easily provoked and a bit violent at times, Ceryn cares and protects those he loves with all that he’s got. His fatal flaw – something that is basically good, but fatal if in the wrong situation - is personal loyalty, and if he feels that he owes someone something, you can count on him to do everything to pay back the debt.

Coy, Ceryns father, is a blacksmith and owns a workshop in the merchant part of district 12. The workshop has always been a place where miners could fix and upgrade their tools, and also provide with other stuff needed in the mines. This way, the Taychet family have always had enough to come by. Compared to other district 12 citizens, they have had plenty of all, but still far from enough to flourish.

The nickname “Wildfire” is and has always been who Ceryn is. His father gave him the name when Ceryn was around four years old, when he played around with a red glowing chisel in the workshop, and - apparently accidentally - set fire to his mothers’ skirt. From that day, his nickname stuck with him.

Ceryn also has a little sister, Laria, who is thirteen. Ceryn cares very much for her, and the thing that enrages him most, is when people pick on her. Laria is schizophrenic, and has three personalities. One of the personalities, the one that really is Laria, she next to never shows to anyone else than Ceryn and her parents. The personality most people knows her as, is the “seven-year-old” girl that only ever answers with monosyllables. Whenever someone even make a slightly negative comment about his sister, Ceryn tend to just walk away, mostly so he can't hurt them out of anger and protectiveness.
