Colton MacCauley- District 12

Colton is an average height and slightly skinny with broad shoulders. His coarse golden-blond hair covers a scar slightly above his left eyebrow and is usually covered in soot from mining. Freckles cover his tan face and square chin. He has a proportionally large head with ocean blue eyes and a small nose. He aslo burns very easily and his tan can become red very quickly.

Colton can usually be seen wearing jeans and a hooded sweatshirt, and almost always wearing a baseball cap. His fingernails are all bit down to the stubs and has many cuts on his hands. Colton is very quick and agile, and is a fast runner. He has short arms and legs, but large hands. He is also very strong, especially for his size and shows it often.

Colton is outgoing, and is the kind of person that would say hi to a complete stranger on the street. He flirts with girls often. Around adults, Colton is very polite and is seen as a charming boy. But when he sees someone, he usually focuses on appearance and not what is inside. Sometimes opportunities are destroyed because of this.

Colton is very popular, often seen with a group of friends. He is the leader in his group, and the others follow him. He is admired by many girls for his looks, humor, and nice attitude. He loses his temper easily, but most people would not want to anger him. He is not the smartest and his work often lacks effort and is sloppy. When he is around his closer friends, all thoughts of anger fade away. But, if he is angered, he will attack and only his really good friends accept that that is his personality. He loses some of his friends because of his anger, and some people gossip about it, but he still mantains a large group of friends.

Colton's anger and impulsiveness usually get him in trouble. He doesn't think before acting and often has to face the consequences. Colton is usually very happy, even though he is often starving and dirty. He will always find something to do, he especially likes whittling wood and he knows everything about edible and poisonous plants. He often keeps his thoughts and emotions to himself.

Cotlon gets his short temper from his father, Lucas, who was very abusive. He gets his physical appearance from his mother, except for his father's square chin. Colton likes the way he looks and isn't afraid to show it. Once, his mother,Maye, angered him so much that he punched her and dislocated her jaw. He works in the mines, and often does the errands for his family. He has two younger brothers, Asher and Cobalt.

Colton's father left his mother two years ago, leaving Maye with three boys. So, Colton is the man of the house and is relied on to support them. He is often very tired after work and school and has alot of responsibility. His brother, Asher, looks up to Colton and follows him around. Cobalt, on the other hand, does not like Colton and wants nothing to do with him. His relationship with his mom is not that great, they acknowledge each other but don't spend lots of time together. He had always been closer to his father.

Colton is a very fast runner and can outrun almost everybody in District 12. Many guys are jealous of him. He loves to draw and write, and can often be seen doing both. Colton once sculpted President Snow out of wood. He learned his skills from his father before he left. His father had met someone from District 7 who worked with blades often and learned how to use blades. Since Colton was little, he had been fascinated with the sharp blades. His father decided to teach him how to use them. After then, each day his father would give him a lesson with blades. Colton quickly learned many new tricks and since then has been very skilled with blades.
