Leyanna Beaker{District 12}-CHECK Plz!

Your eyes set upon her. She's not too tall, not too short. Her eyes are a delicate golden brown. She has soft black hair, that hang in curls over her shoulders. She has a large scar over her eyebrow from falling on a rock as a child.

As you look closer, you can see she has a slight crookedness in her teeth. She is wearing a dirt smudge light green dress that ends just under her knees, and she has no shoes on. Her feet have cuts and scars all over them from her lack of shoes, but it doesn't seem to bother her. Although she is very skinny for her age, she doesn't seem unhealthy. She rarely gets sick, but when she does it a very bad illness. But her immune system makes up for those times.

Leya walks through the streets of District 12. Her golden brown eyes are soft with kindness. She different from the rest. More kind then the rest in her district. Although she can have her bitter days. She likes to smile. Even though her mom is sick, she likes to stay positive.

She doesn't have a job, because she isn't old enough to work in the mines yet, and she hasn't been chosen for the games. Not that she wants to anyway. But she has an advantage. She's good with camouflage. She can camouflage herself with practically anything.

Leyanna can't stand rain. She loves water, but rain annoys her. She has hated it every since her mom got sick from being in the rain to long. So when it rains, she locks herself in her house. She cares for her mom as much as possible, but with her free time she looks for work. Which never helps anything. No one would hire a 13 year old girl.

Leyanna hopes to one day have enough money to take care of her mom and herself. She hopes to get married, have children, and have a nice home. But the thing she hopes for the most is for the capitol to stop the hunger games. Just for them to stop. It sickens her that they would kill 11 children just to prove a point. And she wants it to just stop.

As a child, Leyanna grew up poorly. Her dad left when she was 2. He left to work in the capitol. He always thought he was better than district twelve. So he left. Leaving his wife and daughter behind.

Her mom became depressed. She would get up to go to work in the mines, but that's all she did. Leyanna would be left with a neighbor, and would stay there until her mom got home. Her mom would cook dinner and then put Leyanna to sleep.

As Leyanna grew up, she learned to fend for herself. She taught herself to cook, and how to fix wounds. So whenever her mom got hurt in the mines, she would fix her up.

Slowly her mom started to cheer up. She would wake up earlier and go over to friends house. Along with spending more time with Leyanna. But then she grew ill on Leyanna's 13th birthday..

It was a really rainy day, and Leyanna's mom decided she would go walking through the rain. And she stayed out a little to long. A day or two after the rain storm, she got really sick. Her lungs burned, and she would cough often. This was something Leyanna couldn't fix. All Leyanna could do was sit and watch her mother slowly die.

So Leyanna learned to get through the day on her own. She would exchanged a little labor for food with shop keepers and neighbors. That gets her by day to day. But Leyanna wants a real job. Something stable. But she would have to wait a while for that to happen. And for now her odd jobs would have to do.
