Appearance,

I have dark colored dirty blonde hair and I hate it. Usually people will see it in braids or a ponytail, sometimes they'll see it like everyone has their hair in District 4. That would be normal. Most of the attention is directed at my eyes. People think I have a green eye and a brown eye, but they are just hazel. I wish I could dye them another color though, like those Capitol people. I look up to them in so many ways it's ridiculous. I pluck my eyebrows everyday because that's what they do. You can't forget that my eyebrows arch weirdly either. Plus, I've got all these brown spots on my tiny nose. I hate them like I hated my yellow teeth. Good thing District 4 carries teeth whitener in a store or two. My nose barely gives me any sense of smell, so I think it sucks. I try so hard to be perfect it's crazy.

I am fairly skinny around my middle area. I weigh 103 pounds at 5'0" and people think that's fat. I starve myself once a month so I can get skinnier. All of the twelve and thirteen year olds have called me shorty and a bad word I am not allowed to say because of how my arms, legs, and torso are. My arms are really long, so I can literally hang from a hoop on a post with the tips of my feet skimming the ground. But then again, it depends on how high the hoop is.

My legs are like skinny, white twigs. They are a little chubbier around my thighs, but that's pretty normal. I try to swim a lap everyday in the ocean 'cause it keeps me in shape. My toes always look like prunes and stay that way for the rest of the day. It hurts to walk on them sometimes because they're frozen like that. Wait, my toes hurting when they are prune-like isn't natural? Oh that's just wonderful. Thanks for telling me that interviewer.

You brought up my clothing style? Well, I tend to keep it to jeans or dresses. When I wear my jeans, I always have to wear a cute shirt with it. People rarely see me in tank tops unless it's freaking hot outside, which happens often. I have five pairs of shorts that I save for special days and a couple pairs of capris somewhere in my messy room. Oh yeah, and most of my clothing has blue on it because I love that color. It always makes me think of the ocean.

Taking everything for granted but we still respect the time

I was left alone by my friends one day at school. They even gave me a list saying 'The Annoying Things About Haleigh', so I started to read it. There was only one thing on the list and in big red letters, it said 'All of her'. Now, you could probably imagine how I felt about them doing this to me. I was supposed to be their best friend, but I guess that was out of the question. Most people think I'm too annoying or too clingy, so that's why they didn't list anything I bet.

Slowly, I started growing more and more shy. My shyness ended up making me scared of everyone. Even if I was patted on the shoulder, I jumped ten feet in the air and screamed. My mother thought it would be good if I got therapy, but not even that helped. I was like one of those helpless children on the streets that you want to take in but you barely have enough money for your family. That wasn't my only horrible disadvantage. There's much more you haven't learned about my personality.

The Hunger Games. Of course you would mention the thing District 4 trains for. Well, I really enjoy watching them. I've learned new skills and techniques from seeing the gory television broadcast that could really help me. My parents enjoy the Hunger Games too, though my little sister can't understand it. But then again, she's only four. The way all of the weapons are designed make me fascinated for some weird reason. So, I'm a Hunger Games lover but not one of the sadistic or insane ones.

I have to admit, I am revealing more than I thought I would. I believe it's time I revealed my deepest personality flaws. I really am clingy and annoying. Anytime I get a new friend, I have to hang out with them as much as I can and make them my partner for everything. I talk so much to my parents, little sister, and cat too, making me Ms. Talk-A-Lot.

Children have teased and laughed at me because I decided to be bisexual. They probably don't even know what the heck that is either. I've always found boys cute and most are sweet from what I know of and girls were always so pretty to me. I mean, most of the girls prefer boys and most of the boys prefer girls, but a couple of the other kids told me their preferences. I told them that they should come out about whether they were like me, gay, or lesbian. Only one of them has and they barely get bullied. I seem to be the easiest target.

Family, Anenah Aretheson- Thirty- Mother

So, I was born into the Aretheson family. Haha, very funny sarcastic remark interviewer. Well anyways, I became the first in the people's lives. My mother, Anenah Aretheson, had me at the age of eighteen, just three months after she turned that age. My father, Kellan Aretheson, was seventeen years old at the time, soon to be eighteen in six weeks, two days, and four hours. I know that it seems freaky, but that's what my mother told me.

Ever since I turned three, I loved singing. It could make me express myself in so many ways, but I never knew that then. It was father who helped me learn to sing notes and all that other singing stuff. I was amazed by his pretty voice when he sang me to sleep or for fun. So I started to sing wherever and whenever I could. That managed to get my family banned from certain places at the market.

At six, my life took a tragic turn. My mother's sister, or Auntie Sammiy, was diagnosed with a rare disease people barely ever got. It was called pancreatic cancer and it was in the organ called a pancreas. Auntie Sammiy was only twenty, so they didn't know how she got it. I hoped she would survive this deadly disease, just so I could see her again. She has been barley surviving since then.

Eight years old was a mostly wonderful year. The worst thing about that year was that I got a second degree burn on my hand. The best thing that happened was that my lil' sister was born. She was the most awesome thing that happened since I discovered deer. Even though she was only a few months old, I tried to teach her to sing and dance. Lily-Lynn got sick every time I tried to teach her. Moral of that: Never teach a five month old how to sing.

Eleven. How much I hated last year is unknown. All I know is that I hated it so much, I cut my legs a couple times. Oh yeah, it was because I told my friends I was bisexual. The only great thing was that I was a year away from the reaping age. I wanted to win the Hunger Games so we could live in the Capitol, because no one would pick on me about my sexuality there. I think a lot of Capitol people are like me and they enjoy being different. District 4 just can't see that.
