Jason Wilde, District 4

Jason is tall (6') for his age and weighs about 135 lbs. He has long dirty blonde hair and green eyes. Since he's always out fishing, he is naturally tan. Fishing has given Jay large hands, resulting in an iron grip as well. However, his strong hands aren't very delicate and he is terrible at things like painting and knot-tying and anything else of that nature.

Since he doesn't come from a rich family, Jay's clothing is usually dark pants/shorts and a white T-shirt. He owns only two pairs of shoes; his worn-down sneakers and a pair of dress shoes for events like the Reaping. He's adopted a dark brown belt from his father, but that's on the urge of falling apart. He always wear's a black, chain necklace that his mother gave to him before passing. The only times he ever takes it off is when he has to shower or something.

Jay's not popular, or wealthy, or amazingly talented at something, but for some reason he's always in a good mood. He really enjoys fishing with his father and music. He remembers a time when he was young and asked his dad if there was a district about music. When he said no, Jay got the feeling that the districts weren't a very fun place. As he grew older, he realized he was right.

He's not too strong, but his intelligence and incredible speed makes up for it. Jason is a quick thinker and resourceful. Even though he loves his dad, he screams a lot, which taught Jason not to talk back. Eventually, he became very charismatic. This skill has saved him embarrassment on several occasions.

Jason doesn't have too many flaws, but one thing really gets to him; his family. He's really defensive about them and if anyone even tried to touch them, he'd go into a frenzy. That can be a blessing or a curse, depending on the situation. Another thing is whenever he thinks about his mother and the few good times they had before she died, he goes into a pretty bad state. But he always reminds himself that some people have it a lot worse than him.

Jason's mother died immediately after giving birth to his younger brother. He never quite recovered from that and often longs for a mother-like figure in his life. Also, after that incident, he felt like it was his job to look out for his little brother. He always walks him to school and makes sure nobody bothers him. Sometimes he feels that he is more fatherly than his dad.

At one point, when Jason was 11, his father was out of a job. His family went into a state when they were starving to death. Jay was forced to beg and even steal a few times to keep them alive until his dad got another job as a fisherman. Jason soon found out the he loved fishing.This is also when he started developing his charisma, intelligence, and speed.

Now, Jason often helps his dad out with his fishing work. He has only a few friends, but the only ones that really matter are his brother and father. They have enough money to put food on the table and stay away from starvation, but they have barely enough to buy things like cleaner clothes or toys. Jason's learned not to take anything for granted. Give him an old T-shirt and he'll act like you've given him a million dollars.
