Juliet Castelle, District 4

Juliet is known for the fact that she is rather short and thin. She has blondish hair and blue eyes that often look grey or blue. Her hair tends to do something completely different every day. At times it leans towards curly, at others it is perfectly straight or somewhere in the middle.

Juliet tans very quickly, though her skin also fades relatively quickly. She is not very strong, but she is a good swimmer. Her light weight and short stature can be advantages at times, though more often she needs a bit more power to propel herself through the ocean in district 4. She has good eyesight and excellent hearing, she misses almost nothing.

Juliet tends to be rather awkward around people, and is very aware of this fact. For this reason, she reads into everything that people say and do, and often overthinks things. She sails through school easily with little effort. She has the tendency to brag a bit sometimes without trying, just because she has things to brag about in regards to school.

Juliet is creative and good at thinking 'outside the box,' but it is hard for her to do things with limited direction because she is terrified of doing something wrong. She tends to want to think the best of everybody and everything, and she is not particularly competitive because she always feels sorry for the losers.

She likes to know where she is at all times; her worst nightmare is being struck blind. For this reason, she can sometimes feel frightened when she is enveloped in the ocean's waves in district 4. She is not a daredevil, though she is usually willing to try new things if she has thouroughly analyzed them and decided that they are safe. She is kind and a good friend. She can be clingy, but she is aware of this fact and tries to not be so. She also can tend to take charge of things without meaning to.

Juliet was raised in a relatively wealthy home, and she has been in the ocean since before she could walk. She has 4 sisters and 1 brother, all of them are younger than her. Her brother is the cutest boy in school, and she sometimes gets attention because of him. However, he is unaware of this fact. Her sisters are all more athletic and daring than her, except for the youngest, Emma, who is just like Juliet in many ways.

Juliet has had multiple friends leave her behind in the past, which is why she is shy in making new friends and often doubts whether they are true friends. She is very concerned about how other people percieve her. She skipped a year in school because of her intelligence, and because of this she lost her foundation of friends from kindergarten and first grade. This makes her a bit insecure.

Because of her size, Juliet tends to be given the jobs which require swimming into small spaces. She does these jobs with a boy who is a few years older than her, but that she admires because of his intelligence and athletic skills. She wants to know whether he likes her back, but she is far too shy to ever ask him. He occupies much of her thoughts.
