Serenity Chancelore District 4

Serenity Chancelore (pronounced, Chance-lore, not Chancel-Ore) Is very short, just barely reaching five feet tall. She's just barely underweight, but thanks the Lord that her father works at a sea-food industry, and is granted little sea food per week. It is enough to keep Serenity's little family alive and full of joy.

Serenity has dirty-blonde hair, and her young father, 35, says she looks like she was born on the beach, not far from her house. "Your beatiful long hair looks as if you fell in the sand, when you were just a baby, and it stayed like that."Her father would say. Her eyes are from her loving mother, who is also 35, and they are deep blue like the sea that she loves, full of thriving food for the capitol, all the districts, and for her family. Serenity has never had anything different from sea food, or that she had remembered.

Serenity is always joyful, and happy. The only family that is still alive is just Serenity, her mother, and her father. Serenity's parents never though of having more than one child, and they never did. Serenity loves District Four, partially because of the sea-food, and the sea. The sea is her home, she feeds from it, plays in it, and it's where her family is always happy.

But Serenity is not perfect. She has flaws of her own, too. Her hair is mostly natty, as her mother calls it. Through her wore out shirts, you can see her rib-cadges popping out, and she has a burned patch of skin on her right leg from a campfire. She doesn't look her best, and doesn't care to, until the reaping comes around. She's also easily tempered. If she's not happy, she'll scream. It's not about she does not always gets what she wants, but being happy is most important to her. If she can't be happy, she's will be VERY angry. Once you've set her off you'll have to stop her with all your might to keep her from going into the kitchen and grabbing a handful of knives.

Serenity's family is not always happy, either. They argue relentlessly. The food they have is meant to last the whole week, which is only a handful for each. Serenity finds Driftwood from the sea to dry-out and use for fire at the end of they week when the father goes fishing. When he comes home, he never catches anything big, or sometimes anything at all.

Serenity's parents both work in a factory from early in the morning to very late at night. During the day, Serenity is forced to stay home alone. She has no friends or other family that is alive. Sometimes, Serenity will run of to the sea,and sit in the sand until the evening sun sets down into the blue horizon. The sea is very relaxful to her, watching the sun rise and set, hearing the small waves, or big waves crash on the sandy shore, sometimes spraying Serenity with salt water.

One afternoon, at the age of ten, Serenity took a nap in the grasslands that separate her house from the ocean. At sundown, she awoke with a hideous montster staring back at her. It was a friendly Pigmy Blue-Tongued Lizard. As serenity left the beast to her house, she realized it was following her. It never left her side and she keeps him at home and takes her to the beach everyday. Serenity named the huge lizard "Adela" coming from her name, Tiliqua adelaidensis.

When Serenity was a child, She wasn't alone until she was five. Her father worked at the factory all her life,and when she was only five years old, her mother began working there too. They figured, and they were right, that Serenity would be intellegient enough to be alone and not get into any trouble. But on the weekends, they worked midnight to 6:oo am. Serenity's father figured she ought to learn some skills for survival. Thoughout Serenity's life, her father teached her to tie-knots, throw knifes, and throw tridents. She is still too weak to throw an actual size trident, but does her best at throwing knives. Her mother teached her to cook sea-food, find healing plants and berries, start a fire, and tell what is poisonus and what's not.. Cooking helped Serenity gain alot of weight and build muscle from throwing knives and tying knots.
