Luna Ryce District 12

Luna looks just like her dead mother, Hope. She has long naturally bleached-looking blonde hair, with the normal seam grey eyes. She keeps her long parted hair normally into a regular braid, so she can see better. Her bangs are short and normally don't get into her eyesight. She always wears leafy green outfits, and nothing else. Luna thinks camoflouge is important in any situation, but camoflouge doesn't hide her from the world of people.

Luna is also average height, 5'6" and very skinny. She gets the same pale skin like her mother, and like her father, her long legs. Luna's mother also had tried to kill Luna, and tried to stab her through the head, Luna has a long stitched-up scar that starts from her top thigh to mid-calf. She also doesnt accesorize, unless it's an important event, such as the reaping. She wears the same leaf green dress to the reaping every year. Luna had mostly gotten everything from her mother, whom she hated, and barely anything from her loving father.

Luna doesn't find herself attractive, or anyone else in district twelve. Her long hideous scar is only one reason, her small life another. She never lets herself owe anyone, because she has nothing to give. The forest just outside of her backyard is eerie and mysterious. It what she has been afraid of her whole entire life. That is where her mother died, so of course it is scary. The fence that keeps district 12 in by her house was never on, or at any moment that she has seen. But Luna would never take a chance at passing it like her mother.

Luna despises the Hunger Games. She thinks that just getting her name in the Reaping Ball twice, or three times as much as her only name slip will never get her Reaped. She wouldn't cry or scream if she was reaped. Luna would be perfectly fine fighting for her life, then having herself killed at the same time.

While hiding and great at holding her grudge is Luna's personality, she will never work in the mines. She hates to get dirty, and she has one bad lung which makes breathing worse for her. Luna is fine with getting dirty in some occasions of cleaning her fathers old berry shop, but never dirty with coal dust, making herself look ashamed of her life. Luna is not girly, but more tomboyish. But being a girl is not so bad, all you need is some intelligience, and then maybe you can't be too bad.

Luna never wants kids. If she had the choice, it would be never. Luna doesn't want to be a monster like her mother, the same green eyes that tried to kill her at 14. It only took one child, and that one child had to be Luna. Not any other soul God has.

It's also rare if Luna speaks to you. If angered, she may not be the nicest person, but normally keeps thoughts to herself. She thinks her life is personal. It takes one hand, one slip out of the reaping ball, for her to leave this world. and that is exactly what she wants.

Growing up, Luna had a difficult life. Hope, Luna's mother, never wanted a child that would learned to run around like her father, or get dirty, but more of a girl, like healing and herb finding. Her father adored Luna. He wanted to give Luna the world. but there was other things needed to be taken care of. Luna's father was very nice to her, unlike her mother. Luna planned to never let herself down. It was her mother's fault that Luna was born, and grew more attached to her father.

Luna's memories haunt her. Every day. Sometimes in nightmares, she tell her father at night, "Don't go, you'll get hurt", as if she could really say it. Or, she has the same though, "Why did Mom hate me?". When Luna was fourteen, her mother was cooking dinner and had a very frustrating day. Luna's mother grabbed a knife while Luna was walking away and aimed to gash her head, but missed. Instead, the knife ran down the top thigh all the way down to her mid-calf. Luna's mom ran away that night but came back in the morning, but never spoke about it. Luna's father found Luna almost dead on the floor, blood puddled everywhere. She almost bled to death, and her father only helped with herbs and made medicines. God gave him a miracle to keep her alive.

One day, Luna's mother never came back from finding herbs. Luna and her father never found her, just blood and excese skin. It looked as if she was mawled by a bear. Luna's father was devasted, but she never showed any emotion. Maybe it was better if Luna's mother was dead.

By the age of 15, Luna's father was murdered. He had gotten drunk and went out with all of his guy friends, leaving Luna home alone. While he was walking home, he was murdered by a masked man. Luna still hunts for the man who killed her father.

Luna is currently living alone. With the money her father and mother saved up, she can still live in her house. She spent her 16th birthday alone, and having no friends, she is always alone. She trades her berries at the market in town, and sometimes buys a small snack if she cant get food for days, if she is lucky. Luna's stomache will let her starve for a long amount of time.

Luna's one main food source is the berry bushes growing ON the fence. it grew its way around on both sides, Luna's backyard, and the forest. It consists of strawberries, blueberries, and rasperries. There's not much, but it keeps her alive in the winter if she stowes them in the pantry.

Luna hates being alone, she has still not gotten used to living on her own. She wants a boy that is the same way of her, but she wont have kids.
