Jo Norvak: District Eleven

Jo is tall and athletically built, long wavy blonde hair and pretty features that bring to mind a little sister. She has a wide, generous grin with good teeth. She takes good care of herself, and is very healthy.

She prefers rough clothing, which is understandable in her line of work. Tank tops and jeans pretty much make up her wardrobe. She always has a gun with her, be it a hand gun during peace or a sawed off shot gun in battle. She also carries a wickedly curved knife hidden in her boot under her jeans, which she can use aptly.

Jo is a tomboy, preferring jeans and such to dresses. She's swift, accurate, and proficient, a contrast to her brother, who's more often than not drunk. Her apartment is very clean and she completes her work on time. Her days adhere to a strict schedule that she doesn't change often, including a training regimen, a healthy diet, and regular weapons checks. This organization and maturity makes her admired by Ruby.

Despite the rigidness of her lifestyle, Jo is actually rather laid-back under normal circumstances. She's cheerful, with a very fast, to-the-point way of speaking and a dry wit. She's often driven to exasperation because of her brother, but she loves him nevertheless.

From her birth till she was twenty, her family was happy, if militant. Her father was a rebel of District Eleven, and so she, her older brother, and her parents were all trained as soldiers. Her brother idolized their father, and Jo was smothered by her mother and found freedom with their father as well, and the family was incredibly close.

When her father led a rebellious assault on District Eleven's Peacekeeper Guild, he and his friends were slaughtered and their rebellion was ground into the dust. Their mother was heartbroken and Jo's brother, Misha, began drinking and became addicted to prescription medication. At a loss, Jo dragged Misha away from the District that held too many memories and into the glittering cesspool of District One, where they currently live as hired mercenaries for the Assassin's Guild.
