Tristan Roivas - District 6 - Finished

Although he's added a lot of muscle since he was a little kid, Tristan would never be mistaken as a bodybuilder. He maintains a lean, if clearly athletic, build and is often made to look slightly thinner than he is by his six foot height. Tristan is far from pale, but doesn't go outside often enough to have a dark tan to him. On his right arm is Tristan's most distinctive feature: a snaking tattoo. The tattoo consists of a narrow and jagged line that starts just at the top of his right shoulder and spirals all the way down his arm to just above his wrist, the result of falling into some barbed wire while playing around when he was 13.

Tristan has short brown hair which always looks like it's a mix between bedhead and purposefully messy look. Going along with with his scruffy haircut is the constant stubble Tristan sports at all times. However, a stunning part of Tristan's are his steel-grey eyes, which have occasionally been described as 'hawk-like'.

Although not poor, Tristan can't afford extremely nice clothing and dresses very casual, usually a pair of jeans and a comfortable long sleeve shirt.

Tristan is extremely smart, particularly with languages in which he has a somewhat prodigious ability. On top of his book smarts, Tristan also has tended to be a good good at reading people and their intentions. The two traits combined allows Tristan to be very adept at guessing a person's next move and therefore plan for it. However, as a naturally introverted person, he will often keep this to himself and not let on most of what he suspects or knows.

For whatever reason, Tristan is naturally a somewhat paranoid person. will often try and sleep with his back to a wall (as well as picking seats to get similar positions) and will occasionally jump at sudden noises, such as a snapping twig. This paranoia often extends to other people and Tristan has found it hard to make close friends ever since the games where he was forced to be distrustful by nature. However, underneath it all, he is a kind and loyal friend. The problem is someone actually gaining his trust to see it. Also, in seeming contrast to his paranoia, Tristan is extremely calm and is able to keep his cool under pressure at all times.

Tristan has a good knowledge of botany, medicine, and chemistry (most of this knowledge coming from his parents). However, despite the district he grew up in, Tristan's knowledge of electronics and aerodynamics is adequate at best. On the other hand, Tristan would be considered one of the leading experts in dead languages if he ever published his notes. This is partially due to the fact that nobody works with languages anymore, and also because Tristan has actually bothered tracking down bits and pieces about the languages in the library.

Tristan was born in the year of the 44th hunger games in District 6. Born to a doctor and a chemist, Tristan received a good education at both school and at home. He didn't grow up rich, but neither did he want for much when he was younger. As the oldest of five siblings; however, he would often have to let his younger siblings get the new stuff that his family could actually afford. He was considered an extremely bright boy, even by his district's standards, but he showed quite a bit of laziness when it came to his studies.

Until his thirteenth birthday, Tristan had been a fairly normal kid. Rather than study, he preferred to his time playing outside with the other children. During a game of hide-and-seek, another kid tried to start a fight with Tristan over a particularly good hiding spot. During the argument, the other child gave Tristan a push. The skinny little boy fell backwards down the hill behind him and rolled into a barbed wire fence, entangling his right arm in the process. Tristan ended up fine thanks to his mother's care but was left with his now distinctive spiraling scar.

After that incident, Tristan became a little more distrustful of many other kids and a little paranoid, wondering how someone could have gotten so worked up over a hiding spot. As a result, Tristan spent more and more time on his own and finally started putting effort into his studies and began fulfilling the potential in academics that he had always shown.
