Credit to AVRIL LAVIGNEI always needed time on my own
I never thought I'd need you there when I cry
And the days feel like years when I'm alone
And the bed where you lie is made up on your sideLunar wander restlessly around the streets of district 10. It had been three months since, their brother had died. Lunar missed him so much. Her life is not the same, the family has fallen apart, her parents are slipping further and further away from her, and each other. The only person she has left is her little sister, but even she is overwhelmed by grief. The world had darkened, and has become even more unbearable then it previously was.
Dark clouds rolled across the sky raging and rumbling. it’s as though they know how she feels she thought to herself as she watched the clouds. But up there they were free to do as they wish, to go where ever they wanted. But her? She was caged into this district, like a lion in the zoo. There was no escape for her. She couldn’t run freely around the world, it was forbidden and she could be punished with death or becoming an Avoxe, in other words she was far from being free. When you're gone
The pieces of my heart are missing you
When you're gone
The face I came to know is missing too
When you're gone
The words I need to hear to always get me through the day and make it ok
I miss youThunder echoed through the sky. The rain began to fall, soaking Lunar within seconds. Bringing her gaze down to the road ahead of her Lunar saw the soft glow if light as the people of the district settled down for bed. Sighing deeply, Lunar continued walking. Her thought of her brother soon faded as her thoughts changed to how cold she was. Her teeth started to chatter. She had to get home, but she didn’t know how long that would take as she couldn’t see a foot in front of her. The rain kept falling in a continuous sheet.
Lunar looked around, but she couldn’t even distinguish the soft glow of light anymore. Taking a deep breathe Lunar steped off and headed straight ahead of her, hoping she wouldn’t run into a wall, and preying she was going in the right direction, so she could get out of the cold. When you walk away I count the steps that you take
Do you see how much I need you right now
