Tetra Read(D5)

Tetra is tall for the average girl standing at about 5'9". She weighs in at approximately 150lbs. She is very beautiful, but she refuses to admit it. Her face, or rather her smile could light up all of District 5. Her eyes are a piercing blue that hide many things, and still tell a whole story.

She likes to change her hair color with the seasons. During the winter it's blonde, summer is brown, so on and so on. Her fashions aren't like most girls her age prefering the tom boy look. Jeans, a t-shirt, and the only girly clothes would be her favorite pink sweatshirt. A headband also is a fashion statement she likes to show off. One single light green headband is her trademark.

As far as an appearance flaw she is partially blind. She has a deformed left ankle from an accident that occured when she was still very young. Unable to provide the necessary funds to fix it she has lived with the pain to the present day.

She is normally a very happy person. Enjoying keeping herself active. Even with her ankle in the condition it is she doesn't let it stop her from doing what she loves. She cares deeply for her friends who have treated her no different due to her injury.

She has an angry side when she knows her friends are being miss treated. Distributing justice in any way she can, she wishes the tyranny of the Capitol would end. She tries never to lie at any cost because she values honesty and faithfullness in her friends. A short temper, that is one of her main problems that she tries to overcome. When she knows she can do well at something, but doesn't she gets irritated.

Her biggest personality flaw is she holds grudges. She NEVER forget an injustice done to her or her friends. For this reason she gets into alot of fights that she shouldn't, and her friends have to bail her out. On top of that she can ignore the feelings of others when she feels she is doing the right thing. This to leads to some unnecessary fighting amongs her and her friends.

Tetra's life began like most others in District 5. She was born to a hard working family that respected the Capitol. When she was only four years of age her father took her to one of the factories to show her his workplace. An unfortunate accident occured where her leg got caught in one of the machines. Before it could be turned off it mangled her ankle presumably beyond repair.

She grew older still bearing the pain of her ankle, but she refused to let it keep her down. So much so that she obtained a job in the very factory where the accident occured. Through rumors spread in the factory she learned that the Capitol had the means necesary to renew her ankle. However, she and her family knew they would never get the chance to have it fixed. The Capitol never bothered to help the people in the Districts. This started the animosity the she bore for the Capitol. She began to wonder how the Capitol could live in luxury while the people of the Districts suffered.

Growing up to the present age she still hates the Capitol. She kept this hatred to herself afraid who she might hurt if she told anyone. Her friends had found a way to keep her mangled ankle from further injury. She continued to work diligently in the factory hoping someday she may get the help she needs for her ankle. While working she injured one of her eyes when a spark flew into her eye. It caused her to partially lose her vision, but even this would not deter her from her happy nature.
