~Kormiko Lazarov~
The heat of the day had builded up. Released at one moment, the time when the sun had risen to its highest point. Heat radiated in waves from the dry scorched ground. The dust billows in clouds that hang to low. All the capitol residents had scattered taking shelter into their cool and welcoming homes. The all too high houses towered above Kormiko. The sun didn’t penetrate the tall buildings leaving Kormiko in the cool shade. He wore simple clothing. Black pants and shoes, a shirt that was buttoned up, right to the second last. The collar was tall and stiff. His red hair shone dully in the shade. With smooth steps Kormiko walks towards the busy airport, an airport full of hovercrafts. All though you could not see them numerous amounts of hovercrafts flitter in the sky above. He walked towards a hovercraft slightly off to the side. This hovercraft was headed to district two; he was holding a show for the many people in district two. Kormiko felt so happy; finally he would get to show id designs to others.“Is this the hovercraft leaving at 10:00?” Kormiko asks. The Avox just nods making no eye contact. Kormiko’s voice was deep and clear. Not contaminated by the silly, high pitched, capitol accents. The door closes as Kormiko steps on. He makes his way to a chair to wait, a long journey ahead of him.
Kormiko barely realises the hovercraft has landed; the sound of the door lowering brings him to awareness. His excitement builds; finally he will be able to show his designs. He steps down from the hovercraft landing on hard ground. Kormiko looks around in shock; there were no buildings, no houses, no justice building. Kormiko stands there mouth gaping; sudden realisation dawns on Kormiko, memories of the past hit him, deaths, blood, gore, lakes, forest, pumpkins and the cornucopia. How was it that Kormiko had ended up at the 56th hunger games arena?“What... how did I end up here?”. He whirls around, but to his utter dismay the hovercraft was gone.“Well, I guess I’ll just have to miss my show,” he mutters, he spins around to face the Cornucopia. “Well I have been needing to take a holiday, I just wouldn’t have chosen here.” Kormiko was different; he didn’t believe that children should die for our entertainment. He was against what they did. Every year he watched the Hunger Games he was painfully aware of every child that died. He looks wistfully at the sky, the hovercraft would not return for a week. Kormiko groans loudly as he realises all his clothing was on the right hovercraft, probably in district two by now.
