Aris Lightwood
His brown eyes twitched as Aris dabbed the ivory wooden paintbrush into his paint. The walls of his first-story bedroom didn't hold the noise his older siblings were making. Chyba too, but the bumping he heard couldn't be caused by someone as small. His brow arched in annoyance. Later, please. I need some time alone. Reese chuckled in his voice as response. Reese used his voice often, more often than most other parts of their system. Aris frowned and tried to move the green shape and build it into the tree it represented. It was a present for Riley. He's always encouraged my art. I'd like to thank him. But Aris knew when Reese got bored or Aris got annoyed, she tended to take over to stand up for him. He tried to plead a bit more with his alter. Aris desperately wished for dominance and control over his system for one day. He rarely went long without changing but if his alters thought they weren't needed, they backed off. The girl in their head backed off as he dabbed the golden ornament on the top of the tree. The angel rest on a forest green tree of blue, red, and golden ornaments. The scene around it was one of a peaceful family so much unlike his own, even if they shared faces. They were his Christmas wish.
Aris took the easel on which the painting rested and turned it to the same wall the other Lightwoods' paintings lay as if to say "Do not look." In a period that seemed like a second, Aris moved to the door. He opened the door to see tinsel covering most of the hallway. Chyba might have torn it from the door frame. He smiled, feeling the Christmas spirit. Without any feeling of annoyance, he found the box of thumbtacks and a chair. He replaced the tinsel so they still hung like shimmery gold stars in the Lightwood home. This will be so much fun. I hope everyone else will think so. Christmas has always been a fun holiday for Aris because triggers will rare on such a happy occasion. It was also one of the few days when his siblings weren't at each others throats. Mom's there too. Willow seemed to care more on holiday's, making them something to look forward to. It was also something they needed to get perfect.
"Merry Christmas!" Aris called cheerily as he ran into the Lightwood family living room. For once, he hoped, things might go as planned.
