DAMIEN WATERS [/size] [/font]
Damien woke up, from yet another horrible nightmare about whatever his mind could find. Whether or not it was fishing, or walking along the shores of District 4, or even the not so painful death of his mother (which he was sure details were left out but his father would never talk about it). That night Damien was sick of it.
A few hours after the sun had set and Damien had fell into slumber, he awoke to a terrible dream about being drawn from the reaping, and everyone laughing at him. Secretly Damien hated his father for encouraging him so much to put himself into the reaping repeatedly every year. Damien's odds of being drawn from the reaping were just as good as any other dedicated carer in District 4, and that's what made is father so proud.
So as Damien left the house he walked slowly towards the shore, the cold winter air nipping at his nose. Damien didn't mind it though. The bitter cold on his nose is what reminded him that he was human and not some little toy in the hands of the capitol. As he walked along the shorelines he stumbled upon a sand dollar, one of the rare luxuries of the sea. As he picked it up he remembered that in order to handle these he must be gentle. But for some strange reason that enraged him, and he crushed the sand dollar in his hand.
