Betcha they're great, as great as can be. She thought to herself a line of lyrics from a song she had heard once. The song was about a girl being an orphan and hoping her parents would some day come for her. That song was about Ivy. She knew it was written for her. Ivy always hoped that her parents would some day come and get her out of the Orphanage.Ivy sat on the rocky beach facing the large expanse of grey water and wondered about what her parents would be doing right now if they were alive.
The grey water rolled on in onto the shore and toughed the small feet of the girl with blue eyes and dark curly hair. She held her knees to her chest and a tear leaked out of her right eye. "Why did you have to go?" She asked. It seemed as though she were talking to herself, but in the thirteen year old's mind, she was talking to her parents, willing them to come back for her. Ivy knew her parents had drowned, but she would never really believe it.
Wiping the few tears that had formed and fallen down her cheeks away, Ivy stood up and the wind blew her long hair into her face. The short girl was dwarfed by almost everything around her and looked up to the clouded sky for guidance in what to do next. She had never really known what to do next at any time or point in her life. She was a feather floating in the wind.
Taking a step and wiping the sand off her butt, Ivy walked the five feet in her bare feet and realized that her shoes had been swept away by the water when the tide had come in. In her short jean shorts and black tank top, she was in no position to go back to the orphanage looking like she did. If she did happen do go back, her appearance would get her a night on the grass in the backyard, and it got cold at night.
What should I do? Ivy thought to herself as she looked at her surroundings. I don't have any money to go buy new shoes. [/blockquote][/blockquote][/blockquote][/size]
