Swimming helps all the troubles melt away(Sarella)

This was about as strange as it got in District 4, screaming and suddenly a gil tries to drown you. Maybe he should have stayed at home after all, even his nightmares were better than this. As she tried and failed to get off of him he got drenched over and over. Finally she got up off of him and she just sat there. Is that what he looked like when he went into his trances, lost, lonely...alone. A shiver ran down his spine as he wondered if that's what he looked like. Suddenly she spoke, just to say sorry, and than began bawling her eyes out.

He camedown to the beaches to find peace in himself, and this girl was not helping. However, his nature broke through the haze of his mind and he slowly approached her. Once he got within two feet of her he sat down in the water across from her. Her tears left streaks along her cheeks, raising his hand he wiped away the tears carefully. "It's okay, don't worry about it. I would have gotten wet anyways when I went for a swim." He began to think quickly how he was going to approach the situation.

"What's wrong, did someone hurt you? Are you okay from all your falls? Don't cry, you'll be okay now, your with a friend." Well, that was all he could do, at least for now. He had to see what she was going to say now in responce to his questions and comfort. True to his nature he wanted to be friendly to this girl and help her in any way he could.

A nightmare, he could relate to that, more than he wanted to. Whatever the nightmare was though it must have scared her alot. Were her nightmares like his, all about his past and family, it would be curious if they were. However, he knew when to far was to far as questions went. He would wait for her to tell him of her own accord, and just help her with what he could.

"No, I don't want you to go, I want to help you in any way I can. I have alot of nightmares to so maybe I can help you with yours. You don't have to tell me what they're about. I can just give you advice on what to do about them or something." It was strange that there was someone like him, someone who had nightmares just like him. Maybe he didn't have to be so alone after all.

A memory flashed through his head, but he quickly forced it away. He would be of no use to this girl if he went into one of his own states. First things first, he need to know her name though. "My name is Panama, what's yours?" He held his hand out to her as a friendly greeting. To show she had nothing to worry about by talking to him.

He took her hand in his gently so as not to frighten her in any way. Than she told him her name, Alice, it was a start to a conversation at least. He took in her appearance, a typical girl of District 4, but he felt something different about her. Upon hearing she had nightmares almost every night he deffinitely felt a bond with her. Not in the way that he knew HER as a person, but that she shared the same troubles he did.

"You have the same troubles I do, with the nightmares I mean. Most of my nightmares are based off of traumas I've experienced, or things I should have or could have done, but didn't. I can't speak for your own nightmares, but what I do is think about what can be done in the future. The chances I will have to makeup for my mistakes. By your screaming before is it safe to assume you lost some loved ones in your life?"

He watched as she spaced out looking at him. He couldn't tell whether this was another trance or if she was scrutinizing him. Passing over it he sat back against a nearby rock. "I do have troubles very similar to yours, my guess is in more ways than either of us know. For this reason I'll help you in any way I can."

He laughed good naturedly when she grabbed her nose. It probably wasn't that funny, but he wanted to lighten the mood. If she was anything like him she would want to keep her mind off her troubles. To put THAT part of the discussion to rest he answered in as shortba reply as possible. "Yes, I am plagued by many nightmares, and for a very long time. As for your story, I will not ask for any more information than you offer. As for your balance...well that can also be derived from hysteria."

He couldn't help but laugh again. Looking back on it her charging into him and shoving him into the water was kinda funny. "So, what brings you to the sea. Do you find it as soothing as I do? I usually come here when I need to be alone, just me and my thoughts. The sound of the water is so soothing and peaceful, and it helps put my mind at peace. Hey, maybe we could come here together from now on. Having someone who shares your...troubles is another comforting thing."

He felt comfortable enough to move closer to her. But careful to maintain her personal space he only moved within arms reach. Smiling kindly at her he felt he had made a new friend in this girl. This would hopefully be the beginning of a lasting friendship between the two of them.

Panama got a serious look on his face at the mention of her sister. It would seem from her mention that she had passed away. A very sad thing to assume so he decided he would put out such thoughts. Placing his hand in the water he raised it out with his hand cupped holding the water. Letting it slide from his hand slowly he began to talk. "The water is a wonderful thing, our bad memories and pains slide away when we're near it. Just like the water slides so easily from our hands."

As if to prove his point he gently took her hand and scooped up the water with her hand. Than tilting it ever so slightly the water trickled away. He looked into her face and smiled. It had been a long time since he had spoken to someone, let alone someone who felt his burden. "Your sister must have been a great person. I'm sure her memory lives on in you, justlike she would want. I learned that to forget the ones we cared about is more painful than the nightmares. I'm not wrong in assuming that she has passed on am I?"

He knew he had told himself to put away the thoughts of her sister, but to ignore it may be more of an insult than not. He had decided he would try and put her at ease by trying to console her. Boy would he look dumb though if he was wrong about her passing.

A sad smile crossed his face. In a way he had been right in saying she had passed, being an avox was as good as being dead. Just another reason to despise the Capitol, but he would never voice his displeasure. He hated the Capitol, but at least he was alive, and he didn't want for anything. Alice continuing to speak broke him out of his thoughts. Her father was dead, and the rest of her family scattered across the lands. He wondered if he should offer to help her find her sisters or not. He decided he would try and help her, after all he said he would.

"Alce, I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to assume anything. If I offended you or even your sister I'm so sorry. I can offer no words of comfort because my family is all well. Or at least as well as they can be when I constantly go off into my...dazes. Look, I may only be one person, but I want to help you find your sisters. We can run away together, my family won't miss me, and we can try and find your sisters."

He hoped that he wasn't being to forward or presumptous. Perhaps it was his emotions had made him say those words. He meant them though, he meant every word he had said. He felt a kindred spirit in this girl, and he wanted to help her in any way he could. To be without family or friends, it must be so painful. He knew the pain of loss, it wasn't his family though.
