His mother had left him a little extra money and a note (Buy something to keep warm so I won’t have to pay for a funeral. --Constance) on the table next to an empty plate (p.s. Do the dishes).
His feet had on two layers of socks and were hidden inside a pair of boots that were two sizes too big. It was the cheapest pair that he had been able to find. A pair of baggy jeans clung to his waist. They didn’t do much to keep his legs warm, but they were all he had. Most of his money went towards the grey jacket that hugged his torso over his black long sleeve shirt. On the inside it was lined with faux fur. But whether or not the fur was real didn’t make a difference to Keegan because it was still keeping him warm. With the last of his money he was able to purchase the black beanie that now sat on top of his mass of brown hair.
Gloved hands (he was able to find his pair from last year) dove straight into the snow. He was allowed to still be a kid sometimes, wasn’t he? Keegan retrieved a handful of snow and began to mold it into a sphere. When he felt it was finally complete, his eyes searched for someone to throw it at. He was in market, put there weren’t that many people. And there certainly wasn’t anyone he knew. The market was rather empty considering that Christmas was the up and coming holiday for those who celebrated it. Or rather, had the money to celebrate it. Defeated, Keegan threw the snowball absentmindedly.
[ooc: This is what happens when you make me start threads with no plot in mind. ;_;]
