Appearance

Just like people would expect from someone who has never seen the sun, Isabella is not very tan at all. Her parents are much tanner than she is, but this is just the way of epigenetics. Izzy wished she was of a slightly darker skin tone, but she realizes that she is stuck with her 5'9, 150 pound body. If she lived in the Capitol of Panem, then things might be different, she might be tanner, but what ifs never do tend to happen.

Almost blonde, but not and instead very light brown hair, waves down to around her mid back. If there were not regulations in District Thirteen for how and how not people can dress, then surely Isabella would do much, much more with her hair, but the fact that she cannot means that she is stuck to just letting it fall down her back naturally or putting it up. More times than not, she is forced to put it up. Yet if she had the choice out of those two options, she would almost always pick the one that has her hair free flowing. It would fit her personality much, much more.

Eyes shaped like almonds are noticeably not symmetrical when it comes to her face, yet this is just barely. Even with that obvious flaw on her face, the eyes may be the best feature on this girls porcelain skin. The pupils are blue-green, similar to the eyes of many from the fishing district. They have attracted quite a few boys to Izzy, but unless she takes a liking liking towards those boys, that attraction ends at attraction.

Instead of running straight down her face, Isabella's nose slightly turns to her left around the middle of the nose. To make matters worse in terms of her nose, the tip hangs over ever so slightly. She is still rather attractive and stunning, but yet these little things seem to become more and more noticeable whenever Izzy looks in the mirror. If it were not her face, she would not care, but having to look at it every morning, one tends to notice blemishes and other issues.

Unlike most in their teenage years, especially those who live in the dirtier districts or the ones who are especially active, Isabella never suffered from the perils of acne. Somehow, living in a clean, pristine, temperature controlled district while almost never sweating along with good skin care techniques has prevented this attractive girl from the suffering acne causes. Really though, it is not a surprise at all that this girl hardly ever had a blemish on her skin, and when she did these blemishes were never that terrible.

Just like her mother, Isabella is not a very curvy person. That is not to say that she does not have some curves, but compared to others in District Thirteen she is not curvy. The fact that the clothing she is mandated to wear is not form fitting does not help this fact. And though she is forced to wear such unattractive clothes, there is always the option of rolling pants up, or knotting a shirt to make it a bit shorter; Isabella often does this.


Personality

As pretty much everyone notices, Isabella is a free spirit, especially compared to most people in District Thirteen. Despite the always calculated days, she finds a way to just be herself, a way to be different from the norm. It is not exactly her being rebellious, because she most certainly is not, there is no doubt that this girl accepts who the authority is. What comes along is why she does not listen to the authority.

There is nothing that has to do with spite when it comes to not listening to the authority figures, not following her daily schedule (which gets her in trouble every so often). Her not following directions strays from being rebellious because she does not refuse to listen just to spite those with authority over her. The reason why she disobeys orders is because they go against her as a person. Isabella likes freedom, she likes having the ability to do what she wants when she wants it, or even the ability to do nothing at all. Sometimes it is making music, sometimes it is just relaxing, but having to follow a strict schedule takes away from any fun in doing those activities.

There are always the times when she has to listen, where something is too important for Izzy to ignore. When those times come, she does realize this after a good deal of being talked to, and then she willingly obliges. There is a fine line between being a free spirit and realizing when you need to step into line, more times then not Isabella gets this line and willingly steps into line. Yet there have been times when her sense fails her, and she has gotten into some serious trouble for not listening to her superiors when she really should.

Though often seeming far off and detached mentally, this girl is quite possibly one of the most affectionate people in all of District Thirteen. She is, after all, rather enjoyable to be around. Once someone earns her trust, then she will be nice to them and give them everything that they want from her within reason, but that trust is hard to come by, and not many people have it. She does not even everyone in her family, as some of them are too selfish. Though she is also somewhat selfish (and does not realize it), Isabella shows a certain amount of selflessness when she trusts people. That, in Isabella's mind, is what separates her from the members of her family that she cannot put her faith in.

Creativity is second nature to Izzy, coming up with ideas is relatively easy. Along with the fact that it takes some brain power to come up with new ideas, clearly showing that Isabella is at least somewhat intelligent, Izzy also is willing to try new things. Whether what she is trying has been done before or is just out-of-this-world ridiculous, Isabella will most likely try it if she feels it will help her express herself.

Being the creative and hard working person that she is, Izzy has to have a good deal of enthusiasm. Of course, this enthusiasm only goes as far as if she is enjoying what she is doing. She makes no effort to even faint at enjoying herself or trying when she is bored with something she is forced to do, much to the chagrin of her superiors.

As is common with creative people, Isabella has trouble staying focused on activities much of the time. It is not that she has ADD or anything of that like, not serious ADD at least. She is often imagining new things, coming up with new ideas, new ways to express herself. Quite a bit of the time, these ideas are silly and not doable, but Izzy still keeps thinking up new ideas.

Sometimes, while trying to bring to life crazy and somewhat idiotic ideas, Isabella can be quite reckless. In the past, her actions have messed some things up. Sometimes it is her lack of focus and other times it is her idea, but every once in a while Isabella ends up making a mess out of things, literally and figuratively.

In terms of her love life, Isabella is truthfully uninterested, especially compared to most people her age. She is attracted to men, but she really makes no effort in finding anyone. In terms of this, Izzy is very lazy. She does believe in love at first site though, and this contributes to her lack of effort in terms of having relationships with guys.


History

Compared to those who live in the districts that the Capitol controls, Isabella has had quite the boring and especially a not worrisome life. There has alwaysbeen food. Even if the food was in controlled portions and not tasteful, there has always been food on the table for this girl. She has never starved and will never starve.

Since her parents, Matt and Cassandra, married young and both loved the prospect of having children, Isabella is one of four. In fact, she is the youngest of three girls and one boy. All of them are close in age, her siblings all within five years of her. But they made growing up rather interesting. Her eldest sister would always make Izzy do her chores for her, but Izzy did not really mind for the first bit, she just thought that she was supposed to do it.

As Isabella and her siblings grew older, her siblings became more interested in boys and girls, yet she never found that much interest. Instead she found her interest in expressing herself. There was no set way to 'express' who she was, but Izzy knew that she wanted to do whatever she felt like doing. Even if this meant ignoring her schedule, she would just go with her heart and what exactly she felt like doing or had an idea to do.

Though she found school to be bland and unexciting, Isabella was always a great student. Her grades were always near the top of the class. Even though she never enjoyed doing her work, it was always done well, and always done on time. This was the difference between Isabella and her siblings, they were more interested in relationships, but she always was more interested in being the best that she could be.
