Hi everyone, I'm new and already I'm going to bother you guys with questions. ;D

I am in the early stages of character creation, but I need some additional info to fall back on, mainly about the districts. I have seen the movie and read the first book of the trilogy once (borrowed from a friend) but not much info about the districts remains in my memory.

I have seen that there is some basic info summarized at each district board, but it doesn't really tell me what kind of character I can create.
For example, in the books Katniss mentioned some physical attributes that were typical in districts, but I think she only spoke about 11 and 12 (the deal about her having dark hair and tan skin being the norm in 12, whereas blonde Prim and her mom stood out.) But other than that I don't know the specifics. Can you guys elaborate more on that? I don't want to create an atypical character when it's not my intention.

Also, what kind of survival skills can be expected per district? I can understand how Foxface used the intellect her district is known for to her advantage, but I can't spot the pattern for other districts. It would be nice to know what my boundaries are.

Also, the training careers go through: is this different in every district? Are they trained in a controlled environment (much like they were in the games) or do they have outdoor experience?

Sorry if my questions seem stupid. I'm quite new to the fandom, but I'm hooked and I love to RP. It's just that when I create a character, I want to make him/her as realistic as possible.

There aren't very many parameters for creation like this, so you don't have to worry about the little details^^ Appearance doesn't matter; the districts here are filled with a variety of different looking people, none really has any one norm. People here just create a character with whatever look they'd like.

For survival skills, not all the districts can pull ones from their industry; some like three and six can use intelligence, those from seven good with an axe, two and twelve good with a pickaxe because of mining, etc. Other than that there aren't much.

Career training is generally only permitted in 1, 2, and 4, like in the books, but if someone from a different district can justify it really well then it may be allowed; it's all case by case, based on the bio. As for method of training, that's really up to your discretion; I'm sure it varies a lot in the Career districts.

So basically just feel free to try anything; most things are allowed, but if something is generally not accepted then the staff member reviewing your bio will point it out for you to fix^^ Welcome to the site, and happy RPing!
