Rubik Woodards [District 8]

Rubik has long dark hair that, unlike his brother, he keeps presentable. He has a parting in his fringe, keeping his hair and face very symmetrical. He has pale white skin with no scars or marks, just teenage spots. His eyes a hazel brown, flecks of green are present.

Rubik is tall, standing at 6'3, taller than his twin, or anyone in his family for that fact. He is skinnier than his twin too, but by no means underweight. He eats well, giving his face a less hollow look than some District 8 citizens. He weighs more than average, mainly because he likes to work out and build his muscle tone up. Muscle weighs more than fat. Defined shoulders and arms are a result of this factor.

Rubik can be found to wear simple clothes. He doesn't like to make a big deal. Usually a plain white t-shirt will do the trick, accompanied by working slacks or casual denims with black boots. Sometimes he'll wear a hat or a jacket on windier days.

Rubik is the intellectual twin. Unlike his brother, he keeps his head down and works hard, always striving to be the best at what he does. Hard work leads to a lacking social life for Rubik, giving him limited skills in conversation. Yet he doesn't mind, the one true friend he needs is Pandora.

Rubik cares a lot for Pandora, being the older of the twin - Albeit two minutes - Rubik feels like he has to be the responsible one. Besides, he's more mature and intelligent, he was almost born as a guardian for his foolish twin. He sometimes feels that he is taken for granted by Pandora, but cares for him too much to care.

He enjoys the company of those in the workplace, working in a shoe factory means there are older men looking to retire, older men who pass on wisdom to keen ears. Rubik is always fascinated by tales told, legends reborn and fantasies described, yet still remains a focus and determined worker.

Seen as weird by his brother, Rubik strives to do what is best for him and the rest of his family. As the intelligent one, it will ultimately him that will turn provider. A role that he does not mind, but would like some assistance with.

He enjoys puzzles, work and animals (Especially dogs), but has a rational fear of heights developed at a young age. He spends a lot of his time walking around his district, unlike his twin who is more home-bound.

Born the first child of two twins to the Woodards family, Rubik was promptly followed by Pandora. Rubik and Pandora were a handful for their parents and whilst it was two mouths to feed and two babies to nurse, they managed to make it through to kidulthood. When the twins were seven, they lost their mother during childbirth, but their newborn sister gave them hope, ultimately resulting in her being named Hope.

Growing up, it was always apparent that Rubik was the smarter, more mature twin. He would rarely argue or get into fights and would do as he was told. Their father was violent, not due to alcohol but due to the need to control without his wife. Rubik was beaten many a time, often for things that Pandora had done. Often, the twins would trade places to accept punishment for each other.

Into teenage years, Rubik became increasingly wary for his twin's well-being. Finding himself playing the responsible older sibling. One time, Rubik found Pandora engaging in sexual intercourse in a school cupboard, an event that Pandora cringes at the memory of. Yet he was lucky that no one else had walked in. Rubik was acceding expectations at school. He was able to work at a shoe making factory at the age of sixteen, and worked there for two years after. Having aspirations to go into management, Rubik has bright prospects for the future.
