I understand that once a character is Reaped, they must accept their spot within a certain amount of time or someone else will volunteer. My question is: what is the time frame within which they must reply? Is there a standard time, or does it change from year to year?

Does that even make sense? ;D

As a three time Games tribute, I feel like I can take this question. My apologies to staff if I'm over-stepping my boundaries. Well, it's always been within five days or, more specifically, the wednesday after. After that, the spot is fair game for everyone with an eligible character that doesn't have another tribute in the current Games.
