Personality:
Ariel has long wavy blonde hair, a golden blonde that shines in the sun. Normally during the day, she wears it up in a bun or in a long braid. However, at night when is socializing, she prefers to show off her long beautiful locks. Her skin is very pure, flawless, and has a faint glow to it. Her eyes are a misty blue color, with her dark lashes complimenting them. Ariel stands at a height of 5 feet, 11 inches. She weighs around 135 pounds, which is average for her a girl her age and height. One of the few imperfections about her is her forehead, her forehead is rather large compared to others. Another thing being her teeth are too big, which can sometimes be a problem.
Ariel loves clothes, more than anything. She always wears soft pastel colors though, and is very rarely flashy. Probably since that was how her mother was, she said flashy bright colors were not very elegant. She typically wears dresses and skirts, but can sometimes be seen wearing long pants. Her typical shoe wear is some sort of sandal, unless she is training for The Hunger Games, then she wears a very light tan leather pair of boots.
Since Ariel's parents are some of the more wealthier people of District 4, and the fact she is a worshiped "career" with the most beautiful attractions, her perfections are her imperfections. What makes her, in turn breaks her. Her biggest flaw is over confidence. She is more than aware that people wish they were her, with her beauty and wealth. Knowing that, she flaunts it to everyone. She is never satisfied with her appearance, as she thinks she is more beautiful than she appears. She tries too hard to impress, which one day could bite her in the butt.
Ariel is a career, so like many other careers she is very snobby. Knowing her beauty and family's wealth never satisfies her, she always wants more, and she feels that winning The Hunger Games would bring pride to her family. She is very prideful, in the sense she always wants to be placed above everyone else. She commonly puts people down, and makes them feel lower just to make her self esteem rise. She is very stuck up, and only wants certain people to associate with her. Even then, she likes to use people like a pawn.History:
Ariel is a very jealous girl. If someone does better than her, whether it be have a cuter boyfriend, have more people like them, or beat her at a contest, she is very jealous of it. Her jealousy sometimes makes her malicious and stand offish, making people not want to be near her. In a way she doesn't mind it, because she still has confidence in herself. However sometimes she feels like she is too malicious. Like the moment when the evil character suddenly gets a heart, though hers only stays momentarily and she's right back at it.
Ariel is usually pretty uptight and tense. She is never calm, always as if she is nervous or tensed up about something. Usually she is never nervous, but still takes that appearance. She very rarely trusts people, instead she just pretends to trust people and then turn on them. She is very sneaky, and very two faced. Ariel has a bad temper, which sometimes leads her into bad situations.
Ariel was born on the year of the 53rd Hunger Games. Her parents were Jack Coronado and Calipso Everdale. Her father, Jack, was a fisherman. One of the best in District 4. Her mother, Calipso, made jewelry out of sea shells, fishing wire, hooks, fish themselves, and other materials. She made several novelty items and sold them in the marketplace. Ariel doesn't remember much about the first few years of her life, just that everyone would stop by to see her as a little girl and she would always twirl around in her navy blue dress that she always wore. She had a fair childhood, definitely not a childhood of poverty. Being the only child at the time was at her advantage.Codeword: ODAIR
A few years later, when Ariel was 6 years of age, her mother gave birth to a little boy: Dawson Jack Coronado. Ariel fell in love with the little boy, she would pretend he was a toy and she would dress him up every day. If you ever found Ariel, Dawson was somewhere near, they were two peas in a pod. While she was a little girl (between the ages of 7-11) her parents started slowly training her, but for what they never told her the truth. They always told her it was for her own safety, in case something was to happen, which I guess was the truth. They would teach her how to use different weapons, make fires, tie knots, set traps, and most importantly the ways to make herbal medicines. Her parents didn't really have swords and stuff, so they used special things to act it out. They used the knife used to clean fish as her throwing knifes, and the spears used to stab fish as her spear.
When she turned 12, and her named was placed into the pot for the Reaping, her parents told her the truth. They told her about the Hunger Games being a punishment for the war, and that since she was 12 years old now, she could be selected. They told her that they had been training her for the Hunger Games, so when the times was right she could be a volunteer and make her family and her district proud. But she was not to volunteer until the right time. Every year she would watch the games and be overwhelmed by anxiety. She wanted to compete so bad, to make herself a winner and all the other districts lower than her. When she was 16 she sat down with her parents before the Reaping, and told them she wanted to volunteer.
When she sat them down and told them she was ready to volunteer, they turned her down. She defended herself by saying she threw knives almost perfectly, she was a fast runner and a fast swimmer, she was mentally tough, and was handy with a spear. She told them she could survive off of the food from the Cornucopia, and if worst came to worst, she could steal food. They still turned her down, insisting she train for at least another year. So she has been, day after day, night after night. Running, swimming, throwing knives, working out, doing everything possible to be in the best shape. And who knows, maybe she will be the next victor of the Hunger Games.
