Personality:
Aeron is a rather diverse fellow in terms of appearance. His face can be considered passable by his peers, with a slightly pointed chin protruding from its bottom, and cheeks reddened to a slight raw meat-esque hue. His nose, which he slightly despises, is a bit on the large side. He boasts a tangled plethora of chocolate-brown hair, and eyes of the same brown palate. His build is negligible if one were to measure his strength – a somewhat average 5’10” and only 125 pounds. Most of his weight resides in his muscular legs, which he often admits is his favorite physical characteristic of himself. This allows ample flexibility below the torso, as well as a predisposition for fast, efficient running. However, his arms lack this perk, and he cannot lift heavy or oversized objects as a result. Overall, he is lanky, yet effective.
Aeron’s wardrobe is modest, and he prefers it as such. His usual attire consists of a plain black or gray t-shirt, often faded and/or old. The same goes for his jeans, blue or black in color, and often torn or frayed at the knees or ankles. He has a discrete interest in flannel, being an avid fan of light flannel jackets or vests. He is often seen wearing one in dark, somewhat morose colors. As for footwear, Aeron’s shoes resemble sneakers, and like the rest of his clothing, they are tarnished and worn. His physical features, as with anyone and everyone, can be considered attractive to some and repulsive to others.
Intelligent, composed, creative, and witty, Aeron’s personality is one of his most interesting (and peculiar) aspects. He can be described as intelligent and intellectually-driven, valuing education and progress. This trait is purely natural, and it developed even further as he aged. An expansive vocabulary and a perk for critical thinking have also enabled a flair for creativity. Furthermore, Aeron translates this into a burlesque fashion, giving him a sarcastic and deadpan sense of humor even in serious situations. However, this can occasionally get him into trouble. Aeron is quite sociable and likeable in most situations, however.History:
If Aeron is faced with someone he considers inferior, ignorant or irksome, he can be somewhat on the nasty side to them, sometimes without meaning to. This is partially because he was bullied and ridiculed in school for being a “smarty pants”, and his sensitivity to this often compels him to act on impulse. He also has a short fuse and threshold for anger, and is prone to short spells of depression. In addition, he also shows signs of eccentricity. For example, he has an obsession with aviation, and is prone to grinning uncontrollably and spouting out random and spontaneous information on hovercrafts and hoverplanes if he is ever fortunate (or unfortunate) enough to ride on one. He also collects metal screws and bolts, to add to his strange quirks.
However, these shortcomings rarely hinder him in combat. Although he has not received much practice on the battlefield, Aeron is an excellent navigator due to being extremely familiar with navigation instruments on the Capitol aircraft his family produces. He can recognize all kinds of terrain, and can easily distinguish environmental hazards from zones of safety (i.e. cover). Determining ideal weather conditions and the necessary precautions for each are a massive strong point for him as well. This allows him to formulate strategies for offense and defense accordingly. He can be a valuable ally when placed into worthy, cooperative hands.
Born and raised in Panem’s District 6, Aeron Volante was conceived in a family of transportation purveyors, specializing in the assembly of the hoverplanes and other aircraft that are sent to the luxurious Capitol. His family is humbly sized, as Aeron is an only child. His father, a burly, well-built man of forty-five, often participates in the strenuous production of aircraft bodies – varying sizes and shapes of fortified metal. The job is tiring, and he is not paid much for it. The same goes for his mother of forty-three, but she prefers the equally exhausting job of riveting. The family as a whole is slightly impoverished. Still, they manage to keep food on the table.Codeword: oDair
Even as a young boy, Aeron was fascinated by his parents’ careers, and especially by the machines they tiredly toiled on. At the tender age of four, he asked his father if he could ride in one of them. The latter’s response was simply, “Not at this point in time”. This fascination followed Aeron through his school years, in which he made both friends and enemies with his aptitude for learning and retaining information, as well as possessing an expansive vocabulary, which was obtained through reading school textbooks thoroughly and frequently during his free time. However, the bullying and pressure to conform took its toll on him, and he eventually found the courage to verbally outsmart his enemies, much to their dismay. This allowed him to rise to hypothetical prominence as a strategist and thinker.
All the while, Aeron became more and more enticed with aviation. He used his free time to assist in both of his parents’ endeavors. Commuting to them back and forth on foot in an expansive factory paved the way for his toned legs. He rarely lifted heavy equipment, and instead meandered around gathering small parts for his parents. This also spurred his metal screw collection, which is now compromised of approximately nine hundred screws, nuts, nails, and bolts. Presently, Aeron is living adequately enough. He continues to assist his parents in the factory, and he is gradually segueing into more complicated jobs in the field. As for the Hunger Games, he opposes them, and often emphasizes the fact that he is lucky to have not been chosen in the past… but perhaps this may change.
