Age:16
Gender: Female
District/Area: District 4
Appearance:
Alexandria is quite tall for her age, about 5'6. She has long dirty blonde, beach style, hair with brown highlights that make her peachy skin seem tan in the sun. Lexi also has deep hazelnut eyes that seem to turn gray underwater and in shaded areas. The colors of her eyes grow deeper at the edges highlighting her deep personality.
She has a rounded face that tones her body for she is skinny but not completely skinny compared to other girls her age. She has freckles dotting her face from prolonged exposure in the sun and also has slightly red cheeks from sunburns. Lexi has a long scar on her left lower thigh from being stuck with a fishing spear and tries to hide it from people but sometimes she can't. Her hands are long and fingers nimble. Long nail bends and shorter square cut nails help her untangle messy nets and knots, not to mention the knots entangled in her life.
Personality:
Lexi is fun but very sarcastic and can hurt people by mistake sometimes. She is very responsible and independent and likes doing things on her own unless she really needs help or feels uncomfortable. She loves swimming and free diving and is a nimble runner but lacks climbing abilities. She also is not that strong when it comes to heavy things. To make up for the flaws, she has great fighting abilities because of her older brother.
She can be insecure at times because of lack of support and feels undermined and looked down to by some of her pupils and adults in her district because of her past. Lately she has given up on hope of ever fitting in with the rest of her district and just keeps friends with the fishermen, the ones who surprisingly know most about her and act as therapists sometimes comforting her. Usually she can be found walking along the shore staring at the sun and wondering if her life will ever be the same again. The locket around her neck, that holds her brother’s picture, is what she turns to when alone and feeling down.
Lexi loves using this color when she paints with watercolors to express the brightness of the water. She finds comfort and relaxation on painting but does not like to let people know she is an artist; in fact, she makes her paints herself with a composition of sea shells and dried berries. Sometimes her paintings are relaxed looking, but also they can be violent when she is in times of anger and misunderstanding. Over the years, she has become increasingly talented.
History:Alexandria was born to Mary and Daniel Tanner and had an older brother. She used to be a "nerd" in elementary and had a horrible fashion sense that kids would make fun of her for. She was also bullied because of the red sunburns she would get on her face that would make her look like a strawberry and her lack of athletic talent in school during recess. While everybody else was playing sports, she would sit on the grass and draw the ocean in the mud and dirt.
In middle school though she picked up on her fashion and now has a spunky sense of what to wear. her older brother Drake, was her best friend until he died when she was 6 from falling off a boat and has yet to recover. After the accident she became reserved and quiet, she had her friends to comfort her, which one is a duck named Melons and the rest local fishermen.
These days she works out in the water catching fish and helping the other fishermen with tangled nets and brings the money home to help her family. Kids still push her around and make fun of her because of her past but she still has a slight spark of confidence in her to prove herself. Also, some days she feels people do not understand what she has been through and expresses it through paint. She even feels her parents don’t understand her anger and sadness brought on by the accident and it frustrates and confuses her to her limit.
In conclusion, she desperately wants to be chosen for the Hunger Games unlike other kids her age to prove what she is worth and help out her family.
